F55/F56 What's your age?
We bought a 2011 Clubman in September. It is my wife's car she wanted one. She is 68 I just turned 72, 10 day after we bought it. It has been fun she loves it and I do enjoy driving it. We still have her old 04 For Expedition 300hp 5700 pounds of comfort and quiet. We also have 02 Toyota Tacoma double cab. We are planning on keeping both. We also have a 66 Mustang we bought shortly after we were married. Also a Kurtis V8-60 Midget. We have gone through a bunch of cars 63 Ford Fairlane, 73 Pinto Wagon 73 Toyota Carina, 76 Ford Courier, 79 GMC 1/2 Ton, 83 Firebird (worst car ever) 86 S15 Jimmy (SUV) 2000 Ford Explore and the two old cars we have now. She bought the upgrade service contract because i don't feel like laying on my back any more, but might as the little bugger interests me. After reading all the post, might think of getting a late model Hard Top and playing mechanic again. Had a bunch of dirt track cars over the years but the only that is still around other than the midget is in Australia, Would love to get it back as it has been restored but gotta come up with the money. I have the original small Hilborn injectors that were on it we kept them here for the new car and sent it over with big ones. The rest of the car is original as far as I can tell. We built it in winter of 1970/71 and raced until the car and drive went down under to race in 73 and sold it there. He is 86 and still doing good.
I'm 34, and this will be my first MINI. You can probably tell by my join date I've been pondering it for a while.
Previously -
1998 Toyota 4Runner (first car, had it 8 years and its still in the family)
2005 Honda S2000 (first car after college, daily drove it for 3 years, too impractical, but it was fun every second)
2003 BMW M3 (faster and easier to live with the S2000, but was only fun when driven hard and maintenance costs are terrible)
2011 VW 4 door GTI (Great car, very practical, fun to drive, sold it because I inherited the Golf as a company car and no point in having two virtually identical cars)
2013 VW 2 door Golf (I took over my brother's lease when he moved to Portland - 7 months later he moved back and wants it back, when my MCS gets here he takes the Golf back)
I bought the 4 door GTI around the time my wife and I got engaged - figured there'd be kids at some point so I might as well do the smart thing. We now have a 1 year old, and in the last year she rode in my car all of twice. No point in being practical for something happens less than 1% of the time. Can't wait to start Motoring.

17 with 43 years of experience. The F56s is my second BMW Mini, replacing a R55s. I had a brief affair with a classic (before we called it that) years ago but that's for another forum.
Each MINI puts a smile on my face.
