F55/F56 What's your age?
I do not have a Mini yet, hoping to join you all, but I am 42. One thing that attracts me to this car is it is NOT a bunch of immature kids buying them and making them look like some of the Honda Civics on the road. I used to have a Really Nice GTI, the amount of Rif-Raf it attracted drove me nuts. You do not see that with the Mini, at least I have not, the mods folks do are well done, not overdone.
Old Enough
Well I'll celebrate my 36th, 30th birthday in August. My F56 MCS just ticked over from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production" yesterday. I like the maturity level of folks here and the discussion is great. I'm happy I've joined this particular family.

One thing to add is maturity has nothing to do with age, go check out the Corvette Forums and you will find that out quickly. Typically maturity comes with age, but not in all cases.
I agree. I used to get into so many arguments those "fan boyz" that I finally quit even going to the FRS forum. Mostly correcting their opinions versus facts.
I ordered my R56 in December, 2006, the day after my 56th birthday. I'm 63 now, and planning to order an F56 as soon as our new dealership opens. Hubby will be 71 by the time it's delivered.
I'm active with AMOK (Arkansas MINI Owners Klub), and there's a definite age shift to "mature." My previous club (when I lived in the Houston area) was split between "pre-kids" and "post-kids." There weren't many who had a baby seat in back, at least among hatchback owners.
I might add, gray hair in a MINI does NOT translate to slow on the roads. Just means second youth!

Hmm, I've had a Civic, an Accord, a Prelude, an Accord, wife had an Integra, and I bought another Civic (troublesome). Several other makes mixed in.
Never ever thought of buying a MINI until my wife expressed a real interest in them in February. Visited this forum, learned about the upcoming F56, and now I'll be owning one in about 10 days -- I hope. She now as a Mazda CX-5. In our early 70s.

67. Have a White Silver 2010 Camden 50th anniversary edition. Loving my new Michelin Pilot Super
Sport tires! (NON-run flats) size 215/45/17 rides like heaven compared to the "filling-rattlers) Continental run flats. Now all I hear is the nice exhaust note, the wind, or my music. Before was nothing but road noise and twitchy steering wheel.
