You know, when my kids (grown with children) found out that I bought a MINI, they thought I was nuts. :lol: In part because maybe they associate this car with the younger folks (ages 25-40?). Then I realized that it seems most of the folks I've met here who have ordered an F56 MINI are older than that.

Out of curiosity, if you ordered or have a MINI Hardtop (base or S), what is your age. If you care to hide your age, just post if you're over or under 50.

Me? I was 65 in December. And I see me and my little darling getting along very well. :nod: In no way do I see myself too old for my MINI S, or it being "too young" for me. :thumbsup:

Mid 30's.

I'm 56, inherited the car from my Dad when he passed 3 years ago. He was 70 when he bought it. It's an R53 with less than 30k on the clock, it's my weekend toy. I think he would have enjoyed the mod's I've done, it was bone stock when I got it. I've put all the miles on it except the first 6k, he never really got to enjoy it.

Same here as of 3/11. Just sold my GSX R-1000 and decided I needed another wheeled toy.

65 going on 24

I don't know this for sure but I will probably win the trophy. My wife and I bought our base Hardtop two months ago after trying one out for the first time. I'm 79 and she's 75.

A month ago I would have been surprised at the ages here. Not now. And here I thought that at 65 I would be in the minority. So neat that so many of us are over the age of 50 years young. I wish we all (including those younger than 50, of course) lived in the same state because it would be a blast to meet up and share our rides and stories.

I guess it shows that the MINI is a car that appeals to young and old alike. :thumbsup: :nod:

I hope that too many of us geezers won't hurt the MINI image too badly.

I was in my early twenties when I ordered my first Mini, a R53 MCS. I'm in my early thirties now, and just ordered my second, a F56 Cooper S. Can't wait! And I'm glad to know the Mini appeals to all age groups. :)
