I've searched and am unable to locate a procedure for removing the turbo on my son's 2016 2.0l Mini S Turbo. I remember seeing something a while back. Car runs fine, but is throwing a wastegate code. If there was a way to get it to simply pass inspection I would as we won't have the vehicle but another year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

Turbo and exhaust manifold are a single unit on the F56 (that would be the 2016 Cooper S), FYI. Can't speak to the particulars of the wastegate -- still learning things turbo here -- but if you could provide the code that might help?

I assume it's the same as doing a downpipe (watch a video).

Only difference is unbolting the exhaust manifold from the engine.
