Where is the EVAP Purge Solenoid/EVAP Charcoal Canister?

I'm having some issues with a lazy ignition after fueling and would like to attempt a DIY solution. The car in question is a F55 2.0l B48. Thanks!

Seems like a few people are starting to have this problem. Very easy fix.
I put this in another thread about the same issue:

The Fuel Tank Vent Valve is failing. Easy to replace. But if you're still under warranty then have them fix it.

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...ion/1VnXuZr3fG

Part number 13907621174 and it's around $90

I was having this problem also and it would hesitate to start when filling up the tank. I have a 2015 F56S

Aha, there she is! I would have thought it was a little further down in the bay, but no you can literally see it straight away. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it!

Ok, so I checked it out yesterday and was about to pull the valve out for testing when the connector in #1 of the diagram stumped me. It seemed like however I depressed the white switch, the connector would not yield. Do you remember anything about this specific part of the process when you changed yours?

I believe that was the connection lock for the sensor. They pop up a little but have to be careful cause they can fly off easy and you'll have a hard time looking for it. Not sure how to describe how to do it.

Could this be the reason I hesitate at lights, after a fill up for a few minutes???

That was the problem I had. This fixed it.
It only happened after a fill up, any other regular start-up it didn't hesitate.

Our F55 has the delayed start(10-20 seconds) after fueling. I tried cleaning the valve which didn't fix it. Just ordered a new one on minipartsdirect for 97usd delivered. Stay tuned I'll post if it fixes it.

Ah, sorry I forgot to update this thread! I bought a used one from eBay a month ago and it worked like a charm. Have absolutely none of the issues that I previously had. Good luck to you and hope yours turns out the same way as mine!

I have the same problem in my 2015 F56 and also I scan it and the error was P0456 because the engine light appears. Did you scan your mini?

I ended up replacing my evaporator purge valve (part number 13907621174). Cheap and easy to replace. It is located at the very front of the engine (closest to bumper) underneath the engine cover.

Did you get a reply to your question? I just replaced the part (it's easy!) and I can take a picture of its location for you. PM me if you need me to.

@manny1976 @eric.stewart Was it easy to replace yourself? my car idles terribly, so i'm thinking it might be the Purge Valve and want to order/replace it myself. Mechanics quoted me like $400+

Anything special you have to do like bleed the lines?

7 minute job and no tools. No need to bleed lines or anything like that.

That is *one* of the issues and the one which was covered under a recall as it's the most obvious. Other symptoms may include cold start stumble and part-throttle hesitation and also inability to fill the fuel tank.
