Charcoal Canister

My Mini Cooper S has roughly 1200 miles on it, and the dealer is telling me the charcoal canister is saturated and the evap pump is bad. Out of curiosity, what would cause the charcoal canister to saturate? I have not overfilled the tank, as it has been extremely time consuming to put gas in it in the first place (pump continuouslly clicks off, the nozzle would not seal to the tank.

The problems began with the car after 200 miles... before I had ever filled the tank. Could there be an answer other than overfilling?

As far as I know the only way to do so is overfilling the tank.

Yep.......filling the tank up to the neck will do it.
