hey my check engine light is on , code is p2421. any ideas what's causing the problem ? please

 

This indicates that the vent valve or vent valve control circuit of the EVAP control system is no longer functioning properly. The EVAP system consists of components including (but not limited to) the gas cap, fuel lines, charcoal canister, purge valve, system pressure and flow sensors, electrical wiring and connectors, vacuum lines, the fuel tank, and fuel vapor hoses.

i'm having this issue, although with a 2013 R60. how was your issue resolved?

 

When I had this issue I just needed to pull my gas cap off, clean the seal on the cap, and put it back on. I had to do this a few times after getting the car from the dealership, maybe the gasket rubber was a little stiff and in need of working-in.

 

I just replaced the fuel tank rebreather valve and it worked!!! No more hesitation starting up after putting gas and no more eval leak code!
