I have a 2022 Clubman S All4, currently bone stock, and have the opportunity to acquire an OEM exhaust from a 2023 Clubman JCW and was wondering if this would be worth it and if there would be any gains in sound? Assuming this would be a fairly simple swap with no modifications, would I notice any difference? Thanks in advance!

 

The diameter of the JCW exhaust is larger than your S - 65mm vs 70mm - unless you are getting the whole system from the down pipe back..

Also, the JCW exhaust has the flapper on the one side. You would have to wire it open or something.

 

Please let me take a ride for a while.I'm on a Cooper D, but can I replace it with a muffler for Cooper SD?
We are considering replacing the rear muffler.
After all, clubmen have a nice butt!
I want to have a cooler butt!

Thanks for the replies! I was able to pick up the JCW exhaust, and it is complete from the downpipe back, so I should be good to go. My plan is to just wire the flapper open. I will report back once I have the time to install it. Thanks again!

 

In the end, I also decided to attach a Cooper sd scarf to the Cooper d.I bought a used muffler and bumper.
I'll do my best to DIY.

Good evening!I was able to safely replace the muffler and bumper of the Cooper SD to the Cooper D, so I will report it here.




It wasn't a little easy, but I'm satisfied with the best back!
I hope that the owner of this thread has also been able to replace the muffler safely.

 

The dual outlet exhaust looks much better, balanced.

 

Reporting back after installing the JCW exhaust this weekend. The swap was straightforward and easy, just had to remove a couple of support brackets under the car, unclamp the old at the bottom of the downpipe, and pop it off the hangars. Then the new one fit perfectly. I used some baling wire to hold the flap open on the new exhaust and hopefully that will hold and not rattle or anything.

There is not a huge difference in sound, but I would say it has a little deeper tone and if you rev it up in Sport there are definitely a few more pops and burbles to be heard, which is nice. Not something I would spend a lot of money on, but I got this exhaust for a good price and it was a fun project to do with my kids.
