Question Phone Mount for for Clubman F54?

Hello Everyone
I am the proud owner of my first Mini Cooper (Clubman S) . I am trying to find a suitable phone mount. It seems the Proclip brand is quite popular according to the web but I would prefer my phone to be closer to me since I use it for navigation. I came across an option by Mika's store at Aliexpress. Price is very reasonable compared to other available options but prior to ordering wondering if anyone here has an opinion on it?

Thank you everyone for your help!

I've got one in my F56 and one in the F55. If you have a place to print a 3D project then it is a super cheap way to have a simple phone mount. Lots of colleges, libraries, etc. have 3D printing free or close to it.

Hi Minnie
Thank you for your lightning quick response! Can you let me know the model name of the mount? I just tried looking on WizGear and didn't see one that matched your picture.

Thanks again

Its a homemade design.

PunkGeek the creator of the mount was awesome and posted the files for the mount. You can take the files to any location that has a 3D printer and print it out yourself.

Just print out the files, then you add one of these
Amazon Amazon
to it with some epoxy or double stick tape. They also have cheaper magnets that do the same thing.

Punkgeek is well respected for his sharing this item. I was going to spend $100 on the Cravenspeed mount which is really nice, but for my use the plastic one was less than $10 installed.

Thanks again Minnie! I am unfamiliar with 3D printing - will have to do some homework now on where I can get this done and for how much. Hopefully the specs also work for the F54.

You have been so helpful.

Thanks again!

If you can't get it done at a library or school, odds are the cost won't be low enough to make it worthwhile.

I use the CravenSpeed XXL phone mount. The bracket installs behind the speedometer gauge. Keeps my phone in the perfect position.
