Just made the appt to ship my MINI to the states

It will be leaving 26 May (shortly followed be me on 31)

That means I need runs, drives, and anything else involved in MINIship before it goes.

I am hoping to make at least one more trip to Nordschleife, sometiome in the beginning of may. When I get the details together Ill let you know.

If anything comes up, including the "Cause I feel like it" drives, let me know and Ill try to make it.

Need to get as many Squiggles as possible cause I dont think there are many to be found in Louisiana

 

That sucks.... Sounds like you are going to have to make a few road trips in the US... FYI, I doubt that I will see you again, so have a safe trip.

I will be out of town 28 Apr to 14 May.

Car is now leaving on the 21st trans screwed up some stuff so I dont even get a last long weekend to go play

Sorry to hear that FlyingSmiley. I guess you'll be motoring along side me very soon. I wish I could be there to give you a proper send off to US, but I won't be back till around June timeframe. Still in DC MINI less.

Keep in mind, the MINI clubs here are very very active, and not to mention, MINI Takes the States is rumored to be in 2008. I am sure I'll see you on the road. If after June, your in the area of Seymour Johnson AFB, look me up and you've got free accomidations and a tour guide.

Was running up in the hills behind the castle (somewhere) and I swear I looked in my mirror and Tango was behind me !!

On second thought it couldnt have been you, whoever it was actually kept up with me for a corner or two

seriously though looked like yours w/ stripes and everything, maybe some one stole your MINI while you have been out playing !!!!

 

Wasn't me! I am in Kansas City right now and I am flying out today. Be back on Monday sometime recovering from some jet lag!

Maybe the wife took the MINI out and was playing with it.

I am back! Smiley we will have to get together sometime this weekend for a drive!

 

Last Germany drive completed : 1150.

Last MINI wave : From Henry at about 1000 Thanks Henry I needed that

Shippment inspection completed : 1230.

Said good bye till : 1300 ( It was only 30 minutes and I didnt let him see me cry )

Gave him a hug and watched him drive away

Everything went very smooth. Lots of compliments on how clean and cared for the car was. Mods were noticed, and the guy that took it from me was very humble that I let him have the key

The hardest part was WATCHING some one else drive away in my car not to be seen again till July 13 (at the latest)


Now I am driving a 1984 BMW 316i. I think it used to be red (maybe) it is now orange. This monstrocity has less pickup than a Lawn mower, and a top speed of 100 KILOMETERS per hour !!

So when you see me crazily waving at MINIs please feel sorry and wave back even though I am about as far from a MINI as one can get.

But I guess beggars cant be choosers and this experience will just make me appreciate my MINI more when we are reunited

I feel for you dude I must have logged into whereismypov.com 10-20 times a day while my MINI was enroute. Just think, July 13th will be all the sweeter when you pick it up
