:: FEEDBACK ::

To Assist MINI International with increasing North American participation, if you have thoughts on the above, comments, or questions about the MINI UNITED event, please post that feedback here (especially if this is an event you would consider attending).

NAM Members: If you are considering attending, please reply to this thread so others may be able to group up together. If interested, a convoy can be arranged pending on locations. So who is on board and who is getting excited? Till then, the wait is on, Motor ON

We can't go but I'm trying to talk my brother-in-law, who lives in Amsterdam, to attend in our absence. Unfortunately, he isn't a MINI owner and doesn't see why I am so interested in it.

Hope you guys have a blast!

Be sure to keep a look out here (this thread).

As we get closer to the date, I'll be posting details on meeting points. We could possibly form a small convoy and travel up as a group.

Not sure if I'll make it. Comes right on the heals of Le Mans. HAVE to go to that this year.

More to follow, I suppose....

Try flowers, some champagne, and maybe a couple of benjamins. That might do the trick.

Have any of you folks seen or heard of MINI United products being sold at European MINI dealers? For the 2005 MINI United in Missano, I know there were special mirror caps and possibly other items. I have family in Germany and am interested in trying to get something if possible, and it would help greatly if I knew what was available/what I want when I send them to the dealer.

Still working on her. LOL Rudy I will give that a try! She wants to go to Holland during that time, just not with 6000 Minis running around. I don't understand the problem! I will keep you updated. Rudy have you heard anything new about the hotel situation? Noticed everything is booked already.

I searched in www.booking.com and there are some available slightly further out, around 6 klicks. Harlem comes up on the search which is close by. It would only be a 5 minute drive.

Some folks have decided to camp out. Not sure how packed the campgrounds are. There will always be cancellations so its always best to keep trying. Plus Amsterdam is close by, and if nessesary, you could always sleep in the MINI .

I checked with the dealership two days ago and they didn't even know there was a MINI United . Maybe different of the Netherlands dealerships. Still too early to say at this point, but I will certainly keep an eye out for you. I know during previous events, they have a booth setup with MINI event branded stuff.

I prefer to camp myself but this time we booked a nice hotel in Haarlem, air conditioning included. It's not so much for me as for my wife; because when Momma's happy, everyones happy!

See you guys there. Hotel booked (two months ago) and registration done...

All our MINIs (MCC, MCSC, and GP) will stay home... so I am looking forward to driving some other MINIs... as it happened @ Misano...loved the test drives on the ONE and the Diesel ...

Hey can any of you guys w/ the MINI UNITED signatures create one for me w/ my GP?

OK, fellas. Break it down for the newb. I've got one, just one, Mini gathering and run under my belt. What can I expect if I spend only one day with this? Any routes to program or is it all static at the site? Thanks.

Cheers!

If you head over to Motoringfile here, theres a good article about what MINI United in 2005 was about and gives a good overview on the events planned for the weekend. I would imagine this year would be similar.

Yeah, I'm out. Went over the summer with the boss yesterday, and it's just not in the cards.

I am still going to Le Mans the weekend before, but only because it is already a holiday weekend. Gotta admit -- in the Le Mans vs. Mini United debate, there's no doubt -- Le Mans wins every time.

It's Official. I will NOT be attending MINI United 2007. Has hard as it sounds, this truely breaks my heart. Life has a funny way of throwing twists and turns and you never know what to expect. However, I will be getting heavily involved in events in America. This may not make up for missing MINI United, but it will make the void a lot less painful.

I would ask one favor for anyone who goes to please pick up some swag for me and PM me. I'll send you my new address.

For all those who go, please have a great time and take lots of pictures.
