waiting for my registration....two more weeks b4 the party stars..

 

I am looking for a ride (lift) from Amsterdam airport to Zandvoort... Does anyone knows if the local clubs are doing that? I will arrive Thursday the 21st at 7:35pm... Will love to arrive in a mini!.

We are arriving in Amsterdam Wed, June 20 am and taking the train - I guess to Zandvoort ... I will have two days on the beach before MINI UNITED II starts...

BTW All US people we should meet at the MC2 booth, and don't forget to bring a picture of your Little One ...

 

Think you can best ask that to the local clubs. One of them is the mixed mini club (www.mixedminiclub.nl) and another the New MINI club (www.newminiclub.nl)

 

I HAD THE WORST NEWS TODAY.... Due to the time it takes to process my NL visa I won't be able to attend to MIni United... I had to stay in London for the whole time now and hope to have a great time there!! Have fun everybody!!

 

Are you an US citizen? Visa is required only for a period over 90 days.

Think you only need your international passport to travel to Zandvoort.

 

That's sux. We might be able to sneek you in, disguised as a bike or a cupholder.

tomorrow at this time I will be on the plane to Amsterdam... getting too exicted to stand still...
E-mails with our EU friends are floating non stop in the past couple of days.

A small group (to grow as it passes thru the various Italian cities) is leaving tomorrow night from Sicily. The Russian cars are also leaving tomorrow. Can't wait to see all of them (about 25 in Misano) and to have some of the very good non imported Russian vodka.

Our friends from Kent are leaving Thursday and newly aquired friends from Canada are already in Vienna or Munich.

Our pre registration kits did not arrive but iI am in contact w/ MINI USA and all should be cool.. I hope Trudy and Gina are right.

@ MINI UNITED 1 I won a taxi ride w/ Rauno Altonen (ended up in due 4 laps and re-fueling stop) wonder if I can top this at this MU... Probably not

I was able to make the best time (for less then the blink of an eye ) in the small autocross competition .Is history going to repeat itself? Probably not ..

Never the less I know I am going to have FUN !!!!!

For the people coming let's try to meet .. MC2 Magazine has a tend inside the track let's try to meet there !!

...just got back...Great time despite the rain! What a beautiful site... and what a collection of cars!

Did anyone else see teh one w/ the exhaust tip shaped like a Mini winged badge? Or the 21 GPs lined up at one time?

BTW, the MINI shaped exhaust was also at the Odenwald tour during the spring. He put alot of work into that exhaust tip!

Bad news for me on the way home tonight. Car in front of me threw a rock up at 170kph and cracked my windshield! I was so mad! Anyway, I am off to the dealer tomorrow to get it fixed. I will get a new windshield out of the deal though, that fixes all of those nicks and pitting I have on it right now. So I guess it isn't all bad!

 

I had a good time got some Sweet Mini United Mirror caps. but my buddy got really sick so we had 2 leave early

 

Me too (minus the sick friend)! I also bought their last Mini United inside mirror cap even though it's for a car w/an auto-dimming mirror (mine is manual adjust). Are yours white w/the black and orange stripes?

Anyone have an R53 w/auto-dimming mirror that's interested in a cap for the inner mirror? I thought I'd just use a uni bit and drill a hole in the bottom of mine but can't bring myself to cut it...

 

Great time this year, too. A bit different from Misano still a lot of fun.
Bumer for the rain but the race was still on with MINI # 77 winning for the second time in a row...

I too, took pictures of the GPs-numbners only and chatted w/ most of the owners.. Nice stereo system on Italian GP but... was the GP made to be ight ???


Last night we had a Fantastic time w/ MINI USA group and dinner w/ Rauno Altonen giving me tips how to improve my autocross skills ...
I told him the next time I will take him for a taxi ride (I was on the taxi ride w/him in Misano) we'll see .

Tyler from Darmstadt, it was great meeting you Saturday and again running into you after our Challenge car taxi ride on Sunday.

the event was great. a lil' bit of rain here and there. the 3 laps around the track on saturday in my mini. sunday scored a ride in the Challenge car taxi. lookin forward to MINI United '08.
