1. I need to know which wire(s) lead to the wiper stalk alarm LED. I'd like to relocate the alarm indicator LED elsewhere.

2. I need to know which wire(s) lead to the two phone buttons on the MFSW. I'd like to use one as my Valentine One remote mute button.

Thanks for the suggstion. I poked around in there but it appears to be a method of ordering that does not specifically state the function of each wire color.

I'm looking for someone with the Bentley (or similar) repair guide with integral wiring diagram.

 

If i dont forget.....ill pull the diagram from work tomorrow.....i will pm you with my work email to remind me.

As for the MFSW.....all those buttons are digital so its gonna be hard to do what your asking.....i wanted to do the samething with that button to activate my IC sprayer but when the master tech got done with telling me why its gonna be so hard to do ....i forgot what i even asked him and walked away.

 

Looks like to read the status of the MFSW Button, you'll have to be able to read from and decode signals from the data bus that the car (actually all BMW's) use. There is a Yahoo Groups dedicated to end-users making stuff to interface with the i-Bus:

This is assuming you have the inclination/energy/expertise and resources to do some real low level hardware hacking.

But if all you want it for is to interface with your V1, if you have a factory NAV option installed, just get yourself a Stealth One (http://store.stealth-one.com)
and you'll not only be able to mute from the steering wheel buttons, but you'll fully integrate the V1 into your Nav Display (he now supports Minis as well as most BMW models). Pricy but for a complete integration solution, you can't beat it.

I want to install an LC-1 innovate to my R53 F/L.
Does anyone know which is the power wire (color)that comes from the ECU so as to connect the LC-1?
