Need help on reverse light wire color on 08 R56 MCS

Hi guys, I may have double posted on other section, but I really need the help.I need a little help on installing my wireless backup camera on my MCS 08 R56. I need to find out which wire is the reverse light power that I need to tap into in the trunk, and also which is the ground wire. Attached is my wires picture. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the help. So for the ground wire, are there multiple brown wires in the picture?? If you can download the picture and circle the ground wire for me that would be great. Thanks again.

Hello minigen,

Would you mind sharing a picture of the finished product? What sort of bracket did you use to mount the display and power it? I'm looking into having dealer install this: http://www.outmotoring.com/click-dri...ion-gen-3.html, but would have to replace their Garmin model with one that has backup camera.

What car do u have? Gen3 or Gen2? I don't have a finished product because I need help on mounting the backup camera which I'm waiting for a friend's garage to do so. As for the gps itself, it's easy get a cravenspeed gps mount, they have one for every model of mini. Hope it helps.

I just bought the Gen 3 couple days ago and had the Click & Drive Navi system installed today. I thought about the cravenspeed mount, but thought it'd be a hassle to get power from the mount down to the fusebox, so I just had the dealer installed it (only an hour). Looks real nice and tidy and turns on when car is on. Now I can just swap out the dealer Navi (a Mini-modified 2497) for the one with backup camera (Garmin model 2798 to be purchased) and complete the camera wiring in the boot.

I just installed a camera as well - mounted to my license plate.

My screen is washed out (white) when I go in reverse...almost like the reverse light is causing the image to be washed out....but it also happens during the day so it's not that.

did you have this issue?

I think you don't have a relay install between the rear cam and the power wiring , if not then you should.
