Did they offer any opinion (or fact) on why they aren't compatible?

I'm somewhat skeptical of dealership knowledge when the head tech guy told me they wouldn't sell me a $30 cable because I needed to buy a whole new wiring harness otherwise the (separate) cable wouldn't work.

My question is where is the ballast to run the HID bulb? I only see pics of the headlight themselves unless the ballasts are built into the housings.

As for the previous poster getting a quote for their older mini of a couple thousand USD+ is because they have to change your engine wire harness that works with your suspension I was told. I personally don't care about automatic leveling headlights. 1500 dollars extra for self leveling headlights is dumb imo but more power to someone who bought the option from the get go. 900 for the kit and maybe a short 1 hour trip to MINI for programming I can live with.

I didn't get into details with them as I have an LCI MINI.

New comparison with xenons adjusted...huge difference.

Also, just a pic of one side of the headlights (drivers)...it's a bit dirty from all the snow/slush here we've had here...

My bad .... this is probably a better comparison...the one above is still comparing stock halogens (top) to xenon (bottom).

This one is comparing xenon (top before leveling) and bottom (after leveling)

Damn, that's a pretty big difference from stock, also after leveled is much better than pre leveled!

Making me jealous over here.

Agreed, etk? Can you explain the program process, what you used, where you got it, ext? This info helps future buyers.

What a difference! Hopefully they'll introduce an upgrade kit for the Countryman/Paceman soon. I'd buy it in a flash!

Just noticed on the shopminiusa.com I sorted parts/accessories for my 2008 R56 and its showing the Xenon retrofit lights. Wonder if its on there as an accident?
