Where can I find rear lights that has the clear turn signal lens vs the red lens that came on the car.

I have seen some that are clear and have the mini wings on them. Looks neat

 

order from the dealer just tell them that you want the light for the clear blinker option.

But after you hear the price, you may decide that your current tail lights aren't so bad after all.

 

Hi SODA66, I just remembered that the 2011 Clubman has the new style tail light with a white ring for turn signal (lights up amber). There is not a different 2011 version with a white center lens.

The 2008-2010 tail light did came in two versions -- the turn signal is a solid circle with either white or orange lens. If you are serious about wanting the white lens, you can install 2010 tail lights but it might not be plug compatible with your 2011 (just rewire if it isn't).

 

Thnks - RKW - while researching last night I found that one of the changes for 2011 was LED brake lights. Which I did not know. I guess I will have to get someone to apply the brakes and check it out.

But from what you said, it looks like I can switch to an earlier ie 2010 lens. I also saw last night that Mini-Mania sells module replacement for Minis. They show two taillights and one has the clear turn signal. I will need to contact them and find out what the problems might be. But thks for your input .

 

Out of a sample of one, my 2011 Clubman (manufactured end of February) has the new style tail light. The white ring lights up LED red for running lights. The center lens inside the ring is red, and is the turn signal.

The upper-most lens, the combination running light and brake light in previous production, is now only the brake light. The bulb inside it is a single-filament P21W or 1156 type rather than the previous double-filament 21/5 watt or 1157.

So all three bulbs on the right side are single-filament. I haven't looked inside the left-side tail light but I expect it to be the same.

 

That's interesting. It operates differently in the following video. Maybe the Euro and US spec are different?
