I'm installing a Blinder M-27 Laser Jammer today.

Hey guys,

I purchased a Blinder X-treme m-27 Laser Jammer a few weeks ago and I finally found someone to professional install it. It's being installed today and I'll post pictures when it's complete.

I'm not a crazy speeder or anything like that, but it's nice to know I can cruise 20/30 km's over the limit on the highway on a hot summer day where the police like to snag everyone.

Has anyone put one of these on their MINI before? I have a buddy who is going to test it out. So I'll even show you guys real test results. Pretty cool stuff.

All finished. Here are a few pictures.

He had to cut a larger portion of the bottom grill to fit the harnest.

The on/off switch fit perfectly in the cigarette lighter slot which I will never use.

The LED light also fit perfectly into that extra button slot. Looks really stealth!

Nice Install! So would you recommend this brand? I was thinking of getting the Shifter ZR4 system.

Thanks, he did a pretty good job. Yes, I have done a lot of research and Blinder seems to be the best. Radar Roy seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to jammers. Google him

I've heard good things about the Shifter ZR4 as well but I think it's more expensive.

The Blinder is one of the best out there. If you can go this route, do so and don't look back. Unfortunately for me, in Illinois it's illegal now and the cops are instructed to rip them out when they see them. I can just see it now... son, that's gotta go... RRRRRRRRIP... um, sorry about the bumper cover and grill.

I've been researching the same kit. I'll be interested in what you testing finds. Did you put both transponders in the grill or one front, one back. I was trying to figure out if one in the front would be enough. Keep up the posts.

I put both in the front. I plan on testing it this Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes.

So it's officially been tested. It works great. The LIDAR gun couldn't detect a speed until I was 30 metres away and slowed down to 30 km/h. I have two installed beside each license plate. I found after about 10 tests, the laser jammer started to beep and flash like crazy because I think it may have started to overheat. Then it didn't work right after. So I turned it off then on, and tried again and it worked fine.

that's great. Did you do any tests with running just one transmitter up front. I've read where one in front, on a small car like the mini, works fine. thanks for the info. I think I'm going to get one.

I rememember spending time in their boot at the SEMA show and was very impressed with their product and presentation. They had some candid video of Blazer equipped cars going thru some speed traps that was very interesting . I have something similar but from a different source . Had I seen this first I may have gone this route .

My install from a few months back.

Have a tow hook mounted plate, so this is right above the plate and next to both headlights. Saved me 3 times in 2 weeks. Once I was actually over the limit coming around a curve, the two other times I wasn't, but regardless, works!

Blinder M27's too, btw. Nothing in back as here in New England you almost never see LEO's overhead shooting from a bridge to your tail, at least not in any roads I travel!

i used to have that in my honda accord, they do a decent job on small cars. but bigger cars and small grill are terrible. i sold mine a few months back. planning to get the laser interceptors in the mini next month. and its so small, i think i can just mount it on the grill without cutting.
