Yes, cerenkov i tried it and it worked for both cold and warm monitoring.
But i am having another error with these disabled.

1.) add $522 to the vehicle order
2.) default the FRM module
3.) disable the bulb check
Any NCSExperts in central Iowa want to hook a guy up? Looking at some changes but really not sure I wouldn't mess this up myself. If not I'll be tackling in then next month or so. PM me if there is anyone able to help out. Thanks.
sorry to revive an old thread but what did you code to disable the rear fog bulb warnings?
was it just these?
FRM Module
Rear Fog Lights

WARMUE_NSL_L_M2_51

Finished most of the NCS Expert changes for now:
-Disabled city lights, license plate, reverse and rear fog bulb out checks (replacing with VLEDs soon that do not have CANBUS or resistors).
-Disabled automatic A/C engagement.
-Removed Canadian region from Vehicle Order (to get DRL settings)
-Enabled city lights for DRL instead of xenons.
-Enabled comfort close windows/sunroon w/ keyfob.
-Disabled stop of window wind down when door opened.
-Double hazzard light flashes.
-Enable allow fogs with high beam flash.
-Enabled factory alarm light (mine doesn't have the wiring in place... may consider the wiring mod found elsewhere on NAM to get this working...)
-Enabled one-touch sunroof open (one-touch close is not working for me...)
Didn't get around to disabling speed over-estimation or the allow fogs on with high beams. Maybe another day.
For the sunroof, I have the entries below in CAS-SHD module. Not sure if anyone has any suggestions to get one-touch close working?
SCHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_HEB
aktiv
SCHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_SENK
aktiv
SCHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_AUF
aktiv
SCHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_ZU

Should I default out the SHD module and try again?

It might be out on some of the BMW Coding forums. I'll keep an eye out. They really should've done it so when you take your car in for service, and a software update is needed or module replaced, they download the settings (including our changed ones via NCS), then simply re-upload them with the new software. Similar to keeping files and settings when upgrading Windows versions.
Hello all. I am finally starting to get my NCS Expert programming started. I have updated everything and updated my Daten, sgdat, and ecu to 53.0.5 . My problem is my REVTOR.PFL file came from Datens v38. I get and error that says Profilversion 2.0 Ungutil! I suspect it is because that cam from V38. I have not been able to find a newer profile. I am a novice at this. Can anyone shed some light to my solution? I am trying to code my 2008 Cooper.
Thank you,
Ivan
Thank you,

For NCS Expert V4 the Revtor profile was changed to DUMMY4.
Here's a link that you should be able to download it. Let me know if it does not work.

Hello Cerencov.
1st thing I'd like to say is thank you. I am 99% successful and coded a ton of stuff.
I ran into a snag on the last one...as the last one is always the one that burns you...
I attempted to reprogram the SHD to change to 1 touch sunroof operation.
I changed SHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_AUF to aktiv
SHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_SENK to aktiv
SHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_ZU to activ
and SHIEBEHEBEDACH_TIPP_HEB was left on activ
After the program, I have a sunroof warning light and no sunroof operation.
Can you shed a little light on what I must do to restore operation or reinitialize the sunroof?
Thank you for your help.

I am updated my status: 100% successful. I turned on the alarm light, stopped the shut down of the windows when the doors are opened, fixed my speedometer to the tach, shut off the seatbelt alarms, made the sunroof 1 touch, and now can close up all windows and the roof using the remote. I was going to fix my overestimation of the speedometer, but I decided to keep it. It has saved me more times than I can count. Thank you for the help! It feels great to have been able to make everything work!

I'm familiar with NCS Expert but was wondering if there are other ways to make these changes.
I've recently upgraded to a 64bit laptop and the version I have only works on 32bit OS's.
On the new system I have Ediabas 7.3.0, BMW Coding Tool, Rheingold 3.51 Standalone and ISTA-P 3.56 but I'm not familiar with all of its capabilities yet.
Are there some links that I missed on VO updates or do I need to dust off the old 32bit trusty system.thanks all, and Great posts

How do I code for getting my head unit to activate the USB (or speak to) and Aux Ports, and the Bluetooth 6NF in my Mini Clubman 2008?
What are the steps I need to take?
I have never done this before but I am learning from scratch and will not attempt it until I understand it well.
Or Perhaps someone can direct me.

Error Message While Writing to Module - Why?
I made my first coding 'write' effort today (double-blink hazard lights) as a test. I read the module, changed the value of the Doppel... location using NCS Dummy and then went to write the changed MAN file back into the FRM module.
A quick aside...
NCS Dummy can help to figure out which variation of a module is actually in the car. For my 2012 MCS, it's not "FRM", but "FRM3_R56_C35". (I kept trying different version choices in turn in NCS Dummy while trying to read the TRC file from the "FRM" module until one of them was read with no errors.)
Back to the point...
While attempting the "SD_CODIEREN" job in NCSEXPERT, I got a message that said:
"Error in CADB! Look at CABI.ERR and ERROR>LOG!"
"COAPI-2000: EDIABAS or SGBD error"
"IFH-0003: DATATRANSMISSION TO INTERFACE DISTURBED"
The ERROR.LOG file contains:
ERROR! Modul: LFCDHDIA.CPP (A_PL2FRX.IPS/IPO), Proc: CDHapiResultText, LineNr: 01, ErrorNr: 2000
COAPI-2000: EDIABAS or SGBD error
IFH-0003: DATATRANSMISSION TO INTERFACE DISTURBED
>> ERROR! Modul: COAPI2.CPP, Proc: coapiRunCabd, LineNr: 06, ErrorNr: 2000
SG_CODIEREN
I clicked the OK button and decided to try again by again clicking on "Execute Job". No other changes.
The second time it worked and I got double-blink hazard lights.
Can anyone help with what causes this kind of error message?

"Standing Lights"?
Looking through the sections of FRM(03-C35) related to bulb checks, I found entries for "Standing Lights 1" and "Standing Lights 2".
Does anyone here know what lights those entries refer to?
Cheers!

DCAN Cable Source Suggestion
I bought a DCAN cable through Amazon. As long as the cable is either sold directly by Amazon, or fulfilled by Amazon, you can return a cable that doesn't work - with no questions asked.
This might remove some of the risk for those buying a cable to start coding.
Cheers!
