Has anyone figured out why the passenger side window won't auto-up, even though it's configured to do so in NCSexpert? (See attached picture.) It works on the driver's side but not the passenger side. Auto opening works on both sides; as does comfort opening & closing with the remote.

Try a window reset.
Close the door, roll window down by holding switch, NOT one touch keep holding switch when down for 5 more seconds.

Cant hurt.

If it’s an 05-07 car it doesn’t have the force sensor in the motor on the passenger side so won’t do it.

I have always thought that it had something to do with the jamming protection. Can I get a window motor from an earlier car & put that in? Will that work?

Well, I tried that, it didn't work. Thanks anyway.

Can anyone verify this? It seems correct. Can you get a motor from an earlier car (that would — ostensibly — have the force sensor in it). Would that work?

Can someone read their R53 KMB (Instrument cluster type) module & post the trace file here, please. (Post the text of the entire trace, or a link to the actual trace). The reason I need it is I'm having trouble reading my KMB module, I get an error; everything else reads fine. Preferably someone with a tach & speedo on the steering column & a chrono pack in the center.

Alternatively, if someone is reasonably close to me (that has a car spec'd as mentioned above) I will come to you, read the trace file, & help you code your car for free!

Can NCS expert set the time instead of using the radio?

I have done a lot of searching on replacing the stock radio with an aftermarket. The only thing that appears to be an issue is you can no longer set the time. I would think with all the functions of NCS, it would be able to do this. I am just not sure which module it would be in.

I am not sure if it is because you are a new user but I cannot send a PM to you. I am not sure of forum "etiquette" for that. It let me add you as a friend.

@DogfaceSGM Yes, it's the same for me - confusing! I've checked around the forum but the "gears" representing the user's reputation claim to be only cosmetical. I'm not sure if it's a time restriction thing..

Could you send me an email please? It's my username on this forum + @gmail.com

Before you get too deep, I think you might want to read the last entry in one of my threads.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...eardown-9.html

As stated, I am no expert by any means. Unless I have done it myself, I am not sure I can answer questions you have. If you look in this thread above my posts, the last one is dated 3-4-2022 and wasn't answered. The few things I have done are:

Corrected speed in digital speedometer
Factory reset my cars modules
Code Xenon Lights
Code JCW Brakes

If you are still interested, let me know.

Late to the party!

Yes I know I'm 10 years late. In 2021 my much loved and modded R56S was turned into a charcoal briquet when my garage burned down. I was without a Mini until a few months ago when I picked up a GP2 and came back to NAM. I'm working on retrofitting cruise control and how to code the car to enable it. I have been reading through all the various threads on coding and NCSExpert, after all this time many of the links are dead. I have managed to find, download, and install BMW Standard Tools 2.1.2, I think I have it all installed properly. I have a cable that should work. Before I go try it out on the car - does anyone have a copy of the step by step on how to change the Vehicle Order?

thanks!

Sorry for the secondary message. I thought I had replied to your earlier message, but I see no sign of it, so you probably did not get notified. Cant seem to remove my earlier message either. Perhaps a mod can.
