Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the MINI and the NCS software or GT1 software? We are getting an error when trying to write to the BC1 ECU.

This is the thing....

I have a Mini S 2006 (R53),I saw the module that outmotoring sells but then I searched information in the forum and I saw all the information of the NCS (what is SSS ?) and now I want to do it, but I never done something similar to any of my cars.

Right now I know that I need a cable (recommend me the correct), the software NCS and the instructions that I want to program/install, also the problem is that I found a lot of information but for the R56 but almost nothing for the R53, so I really need your help, please help me!!!

Or sincerelly tell me if better I buy the windows up module.

The cable I found on eBay was about $80 USD. I searched for EDIABAS USB cable I think.

However I haven't found any settings for one-touch up for the windows - I use the Ian Cull window module myself.

 

As for the software, there's a thread in the 2nd gen forum about how and where to get the NCS Expert software and how to install it. That part is identical for both 1st and 2nd gen.

The 1st gen can also use SSS/Progman, and supposedly it's somewhat easier to use, however the software is harder to setup and get running perfectly...

 

I have Windows Vista, does this software can run in there ?
