EIM Final 2011 Meet-n-Eat -- Country Junction in Dyersville, Nov 19th
EIM Final 2011 Meet-n-Eat -- Country Junction in Dyersville, Nov 19th
This event -- our last for 2011
-- is a Meet-n-Eat for lunch on Saturday, November 19th at the Country Junction Restaurant in Dyersville. Plan on arriving around 11:15 am in the parking lot. Lunch will be at 11:30 am. We'll have our own private banquet room in the restaurant.
We'll be ordering off of the regular menu; separate checks with 15% gratuity added.
After lunch, we've scheduled a visit to the National Farm Toy Museum for those interested in checking out some "mini" farm implements and the like. Admission for adults is $5.
It will still be very helpful to get an accurate headcount in advance, so please RSVP by either (1) clicking on the sign-up link in the EIM Event Calendar (<--link) or (2) replying in this thread. There are also links to the restaurant and the National Farm Toy Museum web sites in the Event Calendar Entry.
This will be a great opportunity to reminisce about the fun times we've had together over the past year. We'll present the now-traditional 2011 EIM Recognition Awards, a chance to recognize folks who deserve our sincere thanks (or a bit of friendly jesting
).
Ad hoc departure rendezvous with other MINIs near your home for companion motoring to Dyersville is encouraged. There are lots of good roads in the area!
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Well, all good planning sometimes doesn't survive first contact with the execution...
We still plan to meet for lunch and frivolity on the 19th in the hills west of Dubuque, but it won't be at Breitbachs. Mike B. contacted me yesterday evening and told me that they've decided to close down that day to accommodate a wedding.
Stay tuned to this thread for the alternate location. Will try to make sure the "fun factor" is as good, or better.

Okay, thanks to some timely assistance from 05MINI (thanks!) we're all set.
See the original post in this thread for the new details.

Thanks to all for your generosity. Gary S., that framed "portrait" is an amazing piece of work! Very much appreciated, and I plan to keep it proudly and prominently displayed. The book is awesome, and the personalized notes embedded throughout (I've peeked at a few) really mean a lot to me. It will always remind me not to take for granted what a great group we have.
Ron and Loretta, so glad you were able to join us. Great to have you counted among the EIM faithful!
Bobbi, we're thrilled that you're feeling much better.
Linda R., sorry you missed the purple tractor...

Pics and a list of the award recipients will be up on the website soon...
