FYI there is a small car show on 8-23-2008 in Albany IL

$12 pre reg $15 day of

I am trying to talk the coordinator (father-inlaw) into having a European or British car category.

So if anyone is interested in showing off there MINI Mini or what ever let me know I can put you in touch with the right people.

Albany, IL is right accross the river from Clinton IA just north of Rock Island on the IL side of the Mississippi.

and heck who knows there is some pretty good roads in the area and Cordova drag stip as well.


Last year my MINI took first place in the 2000 - Current car category (beat out 3 brand new Mustangs and a Brand new Corvette)

 

I'd go!!!

Albany is only 15 minutes north of me on Rte 84. I'd go too.

 

15 min eh so your in the Cordova area or a little further south (really depends on how you drive) I tend to go speed limit past drag strip as the police tend to hang there often

 

This is coming up fast so August 23rd

Its right accross the river from Clinton IA (the start of the river tour last year)

Let me know asap if you are able to attend so I can block us off an area for our MINI's

 

Well I am hoping some of you can actually attend this is looming close and should be a fun time and get to enjoy some great cars.

I cannot officially enter the show as I will be running parts of it but my MINI will be there all clean and spiffy

who is all entering there car into this? i live in camanche i might do this.. just have to clean up my car! lol

 

I had 2 people mention early so numbers will be pretty low but should still be a good time with a lot of good cars overall

 

I would if I could but it's landscaping weekend, oh joy!


Hopefully some can make it up to show off their MINIs!

 

I hope to get atleast a couple but who knows doesnt seem to be a lot of interest...
