Is there a HP difference between Boral Sport vs Race?

I just sold my Magnaflow and bought a 3.0" Alta but I think I'm going to go with a Borla. They are my customer so I know I can get it for almost free. I was wondering what is the difference between Race vs. Sport?
Thanks

Race is louder and maybe slightly more free flowing. Sport/Street are more toned down for every day kinda stuff.

If you're going turbo only wouldn't the 3 inch alta be better suited for that?

How's the car driving with all that extra power?

The car is great!! I'm very happy but I could always use more power. I'm want to got to turbo but the money isn't flowing that much right now. I also need to buy new struts, tires and small other stuff. Borla is my customer and is hooking me up with a new Race or Sport, of my choice. If there is no differene but sound then I will go with Sport. I'm sure is won't be that quiet when added to my other mods.
Did you dyno yet?

No, no dyno yet. Sport is definatly quite a bit quieter than Race. Race is fairly close to Magnaflow, Sport is comparable to Miltek, etc.

I hear ya on the money flow, same problem here.

The Borla Race is supposed to be free-er flowing than the Sport/Street. In my car the Borla Race isn't all that loud. However it could get kinda loud with mods to the extent you have done. The Street however might hindur the performance of your car... Just a thought...

Also, I'm planning on a catless header within the next 2 weeks. That would be a good measuring point to see how loud it will be in your car...

I just spoke to Borla and they said there is no HP difference bettween the aggresive and non-aggresive, just the sound. The Aggresive has less packing.

The model names are Sport and Standard; the Sport is what most of you are referring to as the “Race” model.

I don’t think even the Standard, which I own, will dampen the OBX; that would take an exhaust with mega cans like the Remus.

Borla’s warranty service is terrible, for each customer that has a good experience there are ten with poor experiences. Good luck with your connections.

Just because Outmotoring & other vendors have made the same miss-labeling mistake doesn’t make me wrong on this one.

I have extensive experience with Borla Industries’ warranty service and their catalog.

That is not accurate. See http://www.borla.com/applications/lo.../Mini/Cooper/S

aggressive or ... nothing.
