Sorry, DrPhil, but it really says nothing about either intake. Besides describing the origin of the DDM one.

Even what little you know is wrong. At least I think it's wrong... the DDM doesn't come with a hose.

If you do a search on RAF also, you will see some test results Randy posted up of the RAF, taking one second off the time to get from 2000 to 6500 RPM in a certain gear (i.e. - from 8 seconds to 7 seconds)

I has seem Randy install the DDM a while back in his shop and Randy installed the Sportbox w/ RAF for me last month. Both looked very simliar except the Sportbox is bigger, the filter is longer than the DDM, and the RAF receives additional cold air through the hood scoop. Overall I am very satisfied with the Sportbox RAF install and it sounds great!

I had the Sportbox W/ RAF and a 15% pully installed on the same day, was told both adds 21 Horses to MINIKO. The Sportbox was $260 plus $75 if you want the RAF. I can immediately tell the difference on power after the install. Money well spent!!!

DDM

I bought the DDM for my 03s that already had a 15% Craven,MSD coil,IX NGK plugs,Jackson wires and Borla (race) catback.First reason i chose the DDM was the workmanship, made from S/S,welds are nice and pieces are laser cut.All first class, price w/o hose $230.00.Spoke with Dave personally,he is very knowlegable about the MINI.I installed it myself in about an hour,i can't prove the 12hp gain claim, but the seat of pants and the beautiful whine are good enough for me. On top of that Dave called a week or so after shipment to check on the install and to get so feedback, class act!Me, i'd recomend it to anyone.Reach Dave at, Dave@DDMWorks.com or 864-907-6004.
