One-Ball exhaust parts available?

Apparently this mod can be accomplished by a local exhaust shop, but I am wondering if any vendor sells the necessary connector? I would this that this would ensure quality. Thanks for your help.

The part My-Mini sells, states that it replaces the resonator. I don't think that's what they ment to say in their description.

That is exactly what the part does.....replaces the resonator.

You cut the stock resonator out and run this pipe to connect the center pipe to the muffler pipe. It is a stainless steel part, as mine was just aluminized steel. But I have never had an exhaust part rust out on me.

Huh? Maybe I don't understand.

FACTORY SETUP
The MCS has a cat, followed by a resonator (looks like a glass pack muffler), then into one muffler, then into the other muffler, then out the fake twin tip exhaust.

ONE BALL SETUP
Out of the cat, through the resonator, then bypass the first muffler and go straight in to the second muffler and out to the tips. You can then remove the unused muffler.

Do I have it wrong?

There's no resonator near the cat in the stock setup. The passenger-side "muffler" *is* the resonator, and this is the part that is bypassed and removed during the one-ball procedure

Actually, I think (not 100% sure) that the 2nd "muffler" that's removed in the one-ball mod is a resonator. Therefore the stock setup would be:

The MCS has a cat, then into a resonator (looks like a muffler), then into the muffler, then out the fake twin tip exhaust.

Yep......the passenger side "muffler" is actually a resonator. The MCS only has one muffler, the driver side can.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. So what's the difference between a resonator and a muffler? They look the same.

Yes, you can get it done at a local muffler shop and typically pay less BUT not every muffler shop is going to do mandrel bends or use SS or provide SS clamps. The fit is perfect, allows for adjustability so that there are no rattles.
Going this route also allows you to remove it, upgrade to something else and sell it thereby recouping a portion of your $$.

This is a viable option for many - especially if you want to install yourself for it requires few tools.

i guess i dont see where that goes cause on the 1 Ball a muffler shop would do its more of a right angled pipe, that replaces the other muffler/resonator and that piece looks alot straighter. But maybe its just the angle of the picture. Also the 1 Ball isnt something you can revert back to stock that wouldnt be noticeable (IE visible welds) since you have to cut off the muffler and would have to weld it back in place.
