Drivetrain Boost Gauge Buzzing...
Boost Gauge Buzzing...
I just installed Mini OEM Aux Gauges. The boost gauge buzzes all the time especially when making boost. kinda annoying now after a week. don't know how long i can manage. is this buzzing normal?
thanks in advance for the feedbacks.

While I am using a VDO - it makes no noise. Return it and get another.
OOh OOh, I know...I did the same thing... The vacuum "T" that you have going to your intake is installed wrong. If you install the "T" so that the original hose takes the straight path through the "T" and the Boost gauge hose comes in from the side, your problem will be fixed.... I spent a couple of hours on that one...

my install was its the fuel regulator line takes the straight path through the "T" and the Boost gauge. should I change the line of the fuel regulator with the intake? please advise.. thanks
I you got the MINI gauges kit, bring it back for an exchange!

The correct location to tap into the intake is on the corner closest to the pass. side. The one that is a real b***h to get to.

PLEASE CHECK OUT ATTACHED PIC.
No, both of those are incorrect. There is a vaccum line that runs to the corner of the intake manifold closest to the Pass side of the car. Pull this line off and plug it onto the T where you have the Boost gauge hose plugged on. On the side of the T directly opposite where you plugged the hose on, put about a 1 1/2" piece of Vac. hose on and put it onto the nipple where you removed the hose from the intake. Now, the only open port on the T is where you will plug on the boost gauge hose. I think what causes the buzz is the pulses created from the intake/SC and it is harder for the Pulses to turn the corner on the T. If you put the Boost gauge hose straight inline with the intake hose and T, the pulses can flow straight through, right to the gauges.
