JCW+Schrick or 2% Crank pulley??? Anyone?

Just wondering if anyone has added a schrick cam or 2% larger crank pulley to an otherwise stock JCW MCS. If so, what were your results, seat of the pants or dyno. Thanks

I just did this to my JCW, I put the alta 2% oversized crank pulley and a ultrick cam that has the same spec as the shrick, the but dyno says its faster, I have 2 more pounds of boost. and i just pulls like Madd in all the RPM ranges. The motor rev's up faster. I dont notice any extra vibrations, and the motor sounds deeper with the cam.

If you already forked out 28k for a JCW, $400 for a cam and $150 for a crank pulley should feel like pocket change. Also those are probably the best bang for your buck power mods you can do.

Thanks. I read somewhere that a new cam is really needed to wake up a ported head.

Well, maybe not pocket change, but yeah....that's why I picked those two mods to ask about. Other than adding a header $$$, these are where the power potential seems to be on a JCW car.

Anyone else???

Why not go for the +4% crank pulley instead? That ratio will put you just off a 19% equivalent.

You know, I just saw today that Alta has a +4%. I wonder if having such an increase in boost would set off any codes?

It should give slightly less boost than a -19% SC pulley alone, virtually equivalent to the M7, -16/+2% combo.
