Thumper performance head installed - Wow!

Yesterday I had a new head installed on my 06 Cooper S, and the shrick swapped over to it.

The car is freaking unleashed! The seat of the pants dyno says that this thing is unreal.

Prior to getting the head done my best pull was 196.4whp/173tq with the following mods:

JCW injectors/ecu software, shrick cam, megan header, milltek exhaust, Random Tech cat, Alta CAI, IC, 17%, 0% lw crank pulley.

Next weekend I plan on getting it dynod at my usual dyno just to see what kinda numbers it is putting down. I can happily/sadly say traction is an issue in first gear!

Moderators, I am not trying to break any rules, so if I need to edit this please let me know.

So by now you all are probably wondering where I got this from.

The head I got from Thumper of Orange Park in Jacksonville Florida. I was aware of him porting heads for Mustangs back when I had a Mustang, lot of guys talked about his heads. At any rate if you want more information just PM me.

All I can say is that the car is unbelievable now. I already had the laundry list of mods and just wanted to be above the 200whp net. I definitely think I have surpassed this, but we will see next weekend. 2nd gear has crazy pull now, and 5th and 6th on the interstate will get you around just about anything. I cant wait till the next track event to see how the low end jump helps pull out of the corners in 2nd!!!

Are you going to the Moroso Drag Event tomorrow by any chance? I'm going to be there, just not sure if I'll be taking my car along for a couple runs...

Compared to last dyno (head was the only addition):
215hp = 19 WHP increase
179 lbs/ft tq = 6 lbs/ft increase

Compared to back in June(only mods then: 17%,CAI, IC, MTH, Milltek (187.5whp/169tq):
+28 WHP
+10 lbs/ft tq

Charts will be posted once they send me the dyno files.

Conditions:
Temp: 81F (according to the dyno)
Gas: Sunoco GT 100 unleaded
Dyno: Dynojet

Mods:
Thumper Head
Alta: CAI, 17% Pulley, 0% Crank, Intercooler
JCW: Injectors, engine software
Megan Racing Header
Milltek Exhaust
Shrick Cam

Thumper does not do the installs. Pat Wallis of Wallis Motorsports down here in Clearwater has been doing the installs, and it usually takes about 4-6 hours.

I believe they are $1595.

isellem, whats wrong?

I have not heard of picking up that kind of power with 100 octane...

At any rate, I will be using my normal dyno in the coming weeks to see where I am at and will be on 93.

Did you port your Megan header to match the exhuast ports on the Thumper head?

No, but it really needs to be done. The ports on the megan are pretty far off from stock, less lone the ported head. I have almost considered putting my stock header back.
