did the installer heat the M7 pulley to 475 degrees prior to installing it??

it is an interference fit. the part needs to be expanded by heat and then torqued to 85 ft-lbs.

was the M7 Crank pulley heated to 475 degrees in an oven prior to the install? the piece is an interference fit so it needs to be expanded by heat to get it pressed in far enough on the crank shaft.

I was told there was no need to heat it up, it was just a bolt on. I know some of the supercharger pulley's are like that. heat and release.

Peter told me it needed to be heated first.
BTW i am an M7 dealer.
ask him and see what he says just to be safe.

Correct me if I'm wrong but how hard is it to strip the threads in the crank. It is my understanding that these are made of some pretty strong metal.
