Yeah but the JCW cars are slow, but I love the look of them. To make a JCW faster you still need to mod it. I'm doing about 40hp more than a JCW or GP.

Mario,

Watch what you say about crappy cars!

I am for sure down for going to the event on sunday in Westlake, I am leaving the wife at home, so maybe some malt therapy is in order at the show.

Sounds like Mariokart is back on!!! Are you driving him or the BNZ. I will be driving my crappy MINI we should scoot down there together and represent.

I guess I will just call you on the number you gave me on your card tomorrow. Dude is there anyway we might be able to check out the spring situation on my crappy ride this weekend? I'll call you in the morning.

Thanks, Later

Well I have beat the sh*t out of my Mini and driven 400 miles and the 2% pulley is still on, so far so good. I hope things stay that way. I know the power isn't going to be enough for long so I will be selling all my mods here in about 5 month because I will be getting a turbo kit.

MarioKart,
You are not been nice to the JWC's population. But, I agree with you on the evaluation of the JWC Mini S. I just drove one and let the owner drive mine. He wants to have everything that I put on mine on his. Specially a new mod that I made that makes you think you are Mad Max. I used to hope to convert mine into a JWC Mini S. Not any more. I do not ever see any engine warnings on mine. 15%+3% is nice.

The Problem is back!!!!!!!

My car has been making some noises again near the belt. It makes noise when you are coasting or have very light load on the motor. When the tach is above 3k rpm there is no noice, but anything under that it makes crazy squeaks and rattles. I noticed that the belt tensioner was coming loose and luckly I was at my parents house and found a 16mm wrench to tighten it down, but the sound was still there. A few hours later I removed the front passenger wheel and lining to check on the 2% crank pulley. To my horror the bolt was backing out. I grabbed a socket and started doing righty tighty but the bolt kept spining. I then removed the bolt and noticed no shavings, so I guess the motor casing is stripped. I droped it off at Steve's tonight and I guess he will have to tap it or Helicoil it. I love the new pulley but is has been a huge headache. I guess I'm the .01% that is having problems. Hopefully the car will be ready Thursday.
M

Sorry to hear your having more problems. Could you tell if there was any lok-tite residue on the bolt. If the crank was striped (doubtful) I would think there'd be shaving sticking to the bolt.

Well M7 is sending me a new 2% pulley for me for my suffering. I do beilieve that the install was the whole problem. It looks like the crank bolt was put on with way too much torque and stripped the crank case. Hopefully when this is all done I will get to enjoy my car gain with the new M7 pulley. I guess even if products are good, the install can still ***** it up.
Mario

Yeah install counts for a lot. I would rather install a bad part good then a good part bad.
