At this point, I don't see the benefit of any more public flogging of WMS. Randy will either respond to the issues in a very public way or not. I don't see people adjusting their purchasing behavior based upon any new revelations within the last 50 postings.

I don't either. If the mods want to keep the thread open as an opportunity for a community catharsis, then I guess that is their perogative. I haven't seen much beyond that, though.

Maybe everyone should head on over to the Fun MOD thread... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=73748

NAM was originated in Denver and Webb is also from there.

WMS is listed as a vendor because they paid for that privledge just like every other vendor... WMS bought an advertising agreement with NAM... My guess is that odds are WMS will remain a vendor until that agreement runs out (or WMS stops paying). Contractual agreements being what they are and all...

After the agreement runs out, well then it's up to Mark Ferguson to decide what to do. From what I know of the management of the site, I would bet that Mark has been trying to track Randy down and let him know that he needs to get involved...

nope. It's all about the money that a vendor pays to be a vendor. I know of lots of people who have been kicked off of this site because they didn't abide by the "guidelines" . Have there been any vendors kicked off for the same reason? Are there any "vendor guidelines" other than pay your bill for advertising or else? Tell me if I'm off base here, Mark.(or Mike too for that matter)

During my time as a moderator, several vendors were indeed warned that they were pushing the limits... In every case the vendors "adjusted their course"

Beyond that, all I can (and will) say is that in the past behind the scenes there have been discussions between Mark and vendors to ensure that the membership of NAM (you folks) are being treated well by vendors.

There have also been times where vendors have caught heat here on NAM(in some cases lots of it) for their product development or customer service issues. While the vendors didn't appreciate it, when they complained to the Adminstrators they were told that they needed to deal with it as they put themselves in that position...

While there were many times when moderators were accused of bending to vendors wishes becuase the vendors pay to be here while the users don't. While it was rarely if ever my decision, I can say that while I was a moderator the reality was that those accusations were usually false, and the actions taken by the moderators were always due to violations of the site guidelines and not to protect a vendor.

However, I'm no longer an Admin, so I'm not privy to what if anything might be going on behind the scenes regarding this situation.

K9mini, I saw your response about the WMS exhaust and how there was a defect in the one you bought. I was considering purchasing this exhaust when it came out but now i am a little worried. Can you please inform me and the rest of NAM members what the defect was and why WEBB never fixed it for you. I would really appreciate the information.

Thanks for the info. My post was not to bash Randy. He's done some of the best work anyone could ask for on my car and others. The problem always comes back to customer service. I've waited weeks for answers and up to a month, not good for business. His product development for our cars has been tremendous, but most people feel left out when it comes to service. I just hope the rumor mill is not true about his business.

I understood where your post was coming from no worries.

I like Randy and Brian, and I was satisfied with the work they did on my car and the price I paid for that work...

That being said, I understand 100% why the disgruntled folks have posted here, and think they have a right to be upset. I really hope that Randy and/or Brian get back soon to get all of this straightened out.

It's interesting to me that as other suppliers have been reading this thread that they, as well, just cannot believe how far this has all gotten. I think this thread has given many suppliers more of an interest in customer service.

I can say that Peter at M7 has been the best example of any supplier I have purchased from - always available, always answers the phone, always interested in his product's performance on the street.

IMO this has gone too far:impatient I am not a very religious person but if I was I think I would be praying to end Middle East tension, global warming, world hunger, etc - not praying for Randy to get his MINI business in order This thread feels like a Billy Wilder movie.

Well, if we really want to hijack the thread, your post should have been something along the lines of: Stop driving your car!!!!!! HELP STOP GOLBAL WARMING and feeding Hamas and Hizbollah (through Iran). High oil prices are putting boatloads of cash in the Iranians piggy banks and the extra liquidity is going to the terroristas.

As a general reminder political discussions are prohibited on NAM, so before the off topic discussions head off down that path very far let's return to topic.

Not that much more may really need to be said at this point. It makes me sad to see this thread having gone as far as it has. I certainly hope we'll see some kind of a response soon.

Where in the world is Randy Webb?

Or anyone that works at Webb Motorsports for that matter.... I ordered an HDI 5-6 weeks ago, was told it would be here 3-4 weeks ago, and need to return the front rotors they sent me when I asked for rears! Their voicemail box has been full for a week and I have left Randy a PM on the forums.... at this point, I want to cancel the order and just get an Alta again but I can't get ahold of them to do so!
