I am doing the same search right now on how to and where using an 02 simulator will fool the ecu so the lite won't go on

My question is will the 02 sim. spliced into the wideband sensor wire to be installed into the lower bung of the DP?

Eastsidemini, How are you liking the kit so far? Im just about ready to order my kit, I have the phone in my hand, just doing some last min. research. My biggest question is.......Is it worth the money? What do you think since you have it?

Alta kit

I have posted before and mentioned would not go with any other kit for several reasons.

1. Great customer support from Alta for any question.
2. Quality product right out of the box.
3. Future expansion on tuning to get most out of the Turbo.
4. Support from TrickleX and Cliff (coasttocoast) have been very helpful.
5. Worth the money.

Cliff @ Coast to Coast has been great to answer my questions about the kit and they also have the best price on the kit. Im sure you will be hearing from me in the future after I get the kit. I hope you dont mind. Im not new to the turbo club, but very nervous about installing the kit when I still owe $17,000.00 on the car I installed a Greddy Twin Turbo kit on my Dads 350Z and was tuned to 405 whp at 8lbs of boost. His car is a blast to drive. I hope a Twurbo will be just as much fun....

Turbo

I have been running a SPI turbo kit now for over 18 months, I have had no prolems at all. The only extra I did was to ceramic the turbo for appearance.

You can see the vehicle in the July 06 issue of Classic Motorsports.
The vehicle also has a mini sport big valve head, 440 injectors, supercharger was reworked, cam, limited slip dif, throttle boby 63mm, short shifter, screeming demon coil, shark injector, coper works braking kit and various suspension mods.
It can haul.

Thanks for all the help Trickle, the car ran great! I had the boost set perfect and everything tight and good. But last night, just 1 day since I fully competed the install, my car got stolen right out of my garage! So maybe I'll be on here again when I get a new mini (the O7's sound cool lol). Thanks

Yeah, it was bad news. :( But I guess with my insurance (and most others) all the aftermarket parts will increase the claim amount, unlike selling it and bringing down the value. But I know my dad is going to freak about: 1 finding out I installed a turbo kit on my car, and 2 a raise on my already high insurance. This car was cursed though. I got a ticket on my first drive home from the dealership, then a car ramped off a banked portion of a road and smashed the front end upon landing on my car parked by a soccer field to the side of the road, then a huge lexus SUV backed into my door, also hail demolished my car, after that the emblem on the hatch served as a bullseye for someones baseball bat, and of course the dear that jumped in front in front of me that robbed me of my car for 8 months of repairs and parts mixups. So maybe this is the proper ending?

well they found it. :( DEAD. The police found it kind of in a field off of a driveway in the middle of nowhere completely burned. Even the wheels were fried and there was nothing left except the frame and seat supports. Half the intercooler was melted onto the engine and even the engine was almost unrecognizeable. I could still see a turbo and a downpipe. And I could still read "BORLA" on the exhaust tips. Very sad. The cops thinks that it was maybe a "street rival" but who knows. But that could make sense, there are a lot of cars and owners that hated me.

We also took many pictures and made notes on confusing areas.

Cliff, how is it coming with the installed pic? I would like to compare a few things. All the new water coolant lines. The boost source for the acturator and the boost controller. Well basically all the lines

question

The alloy steel bolt keeps coming loose after each run? I applied red locthread and lock washer and it still come loose? I will try SS wire tie and drill small hole thru the bolt and tie it together. Any other idea I am only reading 10-12 lbs of boost on my gauge 10.2-11.5 at WOT from the wideband for A/F ratio I'm also getting P1242 code which is secondary upsterm manifold pressure sensor too high in deceleration

Are you referring to the turbo to manifold nuts? I used lock washers, ran it for a little and then tightened them back up while it was still a bit hot. They havent came loose in a month. Also tightening of the exhaust manifold bolts needs to be done after a good initial drive.
