Mostly pully diameter.

It's still the M45. Someone care to comment on the coatings in the current S vs the JCW? I have and 02 S. It didn't have any coatings on the rotors.

The only difference between the JCW and the current build SC is the diameter of the pulley. The earlier model SC had a coating on the lobes also, just a different composition lacking at least the ceramic component.

in other words there is no dif. in between two SC except the pulley. How about a JCW pulley? Would it be available through a Mini dealer and would they install it and cover it under warranty? It sounds like a dummy question but i am on fact finding questions. I will sum up my thoughts at the end.

The pulley alone is not available from BMW/MINI. The JCW supercharger as well as the standard SC is warranted in the event of a defect if purchased from a MINI parts department but installation, removal, or incidental damage is not covered.

The JCW and stock pulleys are interference fit. If you were to remove a JCW or stock pulley there is high risk of deformation even with the robust P&D style puller and defiantly with the newer low profile style pullers. A re-fit would not be recommended.

Scuderiamini, you've already summed up your thoughts:

I was HOPING to here that flames shot out the exhaust or that the driver and passengers get hopelessly pinned to the back of the seat after a great launch. I guess with FWD, wheelies from the front wheel are physically impossible...

FURIOSO stated that he counted the rotations of the pulley and counted the rotations of the water pump input for both the stock and JCW blower, and they were different. Anyone have a JCW and a non-JCW sitting on a bench?

thanks for all the response...

so lets say i was to find a JCW car crashed... and i take the supercharger from it.... would i get any HP increase with just that?

how about if i throw in my 19% on the JCW supercharger? will that be a safe thing to do? and would it work better than a regular S with the 19%? (i already have the JCW injectros....)

thanks

Eaton's web site..

or one of the quotes from the Eaton team claim that the abradable coating is good for a few % increased thermal efficiency due to less leakage between the rotors and the case and the rotor.

For each % in in efficiency, that should be good for 1-2 HP

Matt

The short answer is yes.

Also, grab the injectors (380 cc cap, as opposed to the 340cc from the S), and if it's not bent, the exhaust.

You;ve got to get the badges! And any works logo items (like floormats), those are good for a few HP too!

Bonehead move on my part.

I forgot to look at the waterpump drive ratio this evening. The little girl is asleep after I woke her up by being loud, and it took over a half hour to get her back down. Half to wait till tomorrow. Sorry folks...

1.75 rotations of the input shaft for a single rotation of the waterpump shaft.

Hope this helps.
