Here is the new UUC Motorwerks S system.

Some details:

63.5mm (2 1/2&quot after the resonator
Dual muffler system
Y-pipe into the muffler loop
63.5mm maintained after Y-pipe
35 lbs
Full stainless steel
No resonance issues
Extensively dyno tuned and developed
Very nice sound
Maintains the factory rear hangers
Pricing should be under $900

A full evaluation with dyno numbers and track testing will be forthcoming. The systems should be available in a month or so - with an eval system getting here in about three weeks. I'm hoping for some very good testing results, and after speaking with Rob at UUC for about 45 minutes this morning, I think that's a realistic expectation.

Stay tuned!

Randy

Ballpark of 10, maybe more depending on the dyno.

I have their short shift kit and System U exhaust on my M3. Great constuction and qaulity.

I've been waiting for this to come out for a while now. Rob has mentioned some pretty cool products that are coming out for the S.

35lbs. (Randy says so above). Yes the quicksilver appears to be the lightest at 25lbs.

Randy - That exhaust is absolutely beautiful! And I get to keep the two tips?! Wow!

Thats a nice sounding exhaust. ,from the movie link.. Really liked the exterior sounds. Interior is sweet as well. Tells everyone your on the way, nice "bubbles" upon deceleration. Can someone explain to a mechanical layman what those sounds are caused by?. Just curious.

Randy,

Noticed that the front of the system has "prongs" that fit the factory hangers. How are the flat metal tabs on the rear of the system secured to the vehicle? I hope that I wouldn't have to drill holes in my MINI.

Thanx.

Todd

Todd,

This is actually the first aftermarket exhaust that fits the factory hangers in the rear. They use the 10mm bolts that go right into the factory bracket - no more messing with the rubber hangers. They just stay in place.

Here is a shot of the factory bracket that the UUC bolts up to:

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanx Randy,

That bout settles it; as soon as I can save up the cash (or hock a kidney), I'll be calling you about this system. Can't wait to hear about the dyno figures.

Randy-Let me know when you have more info on this system. I e-mailed UUC but haven't heard back yet. My nephew is parts manager for a BMW dealership and speaks highly of them as do some of his friends. I was tempted by the Quicksilver group buy on MC2 but I think I'll wait to see how well this system performs.

(by the way, I know you were involved w/ Porsches. I've owned a 1980 911 SC, 84 Carrera, 86 944, 87 930 turbo, 95 993 and currently a 2000 996 w/sport exhaust, aero pkg. etc.as well as a bunch of old vettes a 308 e-types, Lotus's etc-but then again, I'm an old man)

I'm happiest with Helix systems for the Cooper (even though they aren't an MCO sponsor YET).

Give me a call, as some of the other sysetems have merit as well - it just depends what you want from your MINI. I also like the Rogue, RSpeed, and Borla systems for different reasons.

Don't want to hijack the thread though - so just e-mail or call to discuss.

Hope that helps!

Randy,
I have ordered the Rogue filter set yesterday (through you). I was just wondering what are the expected HP gains on the UUC system, and when are you going to test/dyno it yourself, if not already done yet.
Thanks again, great customer support.
Peace.
