Looking forward to this! It would be nice to be able to hear the open and closed versions back to back for comparative purposes.

I think that is an MB right? It is amazing how they can take a stylish car and make it crap.

Anyway I can't wait to hear that exhaust. We are once again waiting with baited breath.

Exhaust Open Part 1 (15MB)
Exhaust Open Part 2 (15MB)

Its loud. The sound of the exhaust from the interior of the car with the windows closed is almost to much for the little mic on the camcorder. With the windows open its tolerable. The noise level would be easy to handle on track days and such, but just cruising around a little with the windows up the drone is bad. Overall, it sounds very mean in person and I like it. But its still a little loud for my tastes. If it was just a little quieter at highway speeds with the valve closed I would order one.

Sounds SWEET....bit of a drone on my speakers....i can only imagine in the cabin.
Seems would be great in the open road/ track. Wouldnt make u too popular w/ the neighbors@2am. Guess the switch would come in handy

Very interested in seein the dyno results on a modded and stocker S.

I like the part where you rev it up with the camera behind the car in open and closed position, I had a good laugh over that one, it is wild and I like it, I'm sure I'll end up with one shortly, I can't wait to see the dyno number, that car can use some tweaking and I'm ready for it.

If the switch breaks, will the exhaust revert to closed?

With the valve open, it sounds like a lot of the cars at the track. With the valve closed, it sounds like a sport exhaust. It could be a bit quieter to suit my taste. But, from a sound standpoint, I'd say the prototype is very promising... can't wait to find out what it does on the dyno.

It would be nice to hear a bit more high-rev (5k-7k) sound, both with the valve open and closed. However, given the fact that you're limited to public highways, I know that might be tough to get.

Thanks again for the videos and for sharing your experience.

LOL. Ok, that is officially illegal anywhere that my car goes, probably even at autocross . Great videos and a good laugh ! Yeah, won't be getting one myself...heh.

I'd like to say thanks to Eric for coming out with me tonight and "shooting" the video. After listening to the tape I can tell you that the camcorder cannot capture the true nature of this exhaust. The open position is VERY loud. The exhaust is much richer sounding in person. I have some professional equipment that is audio only that I will bring home this weekend and try to get some audio for you all. The plan is to tweak the closed position so that it resembles a quiet/sport exhaust more like the Milltek or Borla street and that at open all hell breaks loose.I am still planning a dyno next week.

For people coming into this thread later, is it possible to add the A/V links to the first post? That way all the clips are in one spot and easy to reference.

Wow!!

After driving my dad's Corvette with engine work and all of the free flow piping, it sounds incredible to me, and I immediately wanted my Coop to be louder. Now I know it will NEVER sound like my dad's car, but man that Webb exhaust sounds great to me! Thankfully my wife grew up around gear heads and drag racing so she'll understand! I can't wipe the smile from my face after watching those clips!

X, great job on the videos and thank you for your time.
