Drivetrain Top speed
ive toped her out on good ol i-75 at about somwhare around 135 - 137 but mines bone stock, ive owned the car for 4 monthes now, bought it with four miles on it now its got 20477 miles, i average bout 5000 miles a month, i know its crazy but one thing ive noticed is the car is much faster now, than it used to be and now i have trouble hooking up at all, sometimes the dsc in the s will start flashing evin when shifting in third, but the runflats in this cold climate dosent help im shure.
No Mods yet. But I got her up to about 120 something chasing a 911 Turbo and a GTI yesterday on I-75 and the Florida Turnpike heading back from a weekend in Gainesville.
On a seperate note, the Valentine1 payed for itself on this 1 trip, avoided 3 definate ticket situations all of which would have been for 95+!

Dudes!, Scale down your picture size, please!
I got my MCS to 135 bone stock. Won't matter
what mods you do, you won't have a higher top
speed, you'll just get there faster! Wait, I take that back.
The ECU upgrade might increase the top end.
When I had mine up to 135 I put it in 6th gear and
it was really pooped-out. If you are going for top speed use
5th gear. Gotta tell you, that little engine
is really humming at that speed.

Not true (about top speed not raising). It is not the gears limited the top speed on these cars, it is the power vs. drag coefficient. If you raise the power, you will be able to overcome more of this drag. Until you reach the end of your gears, you still have room to go faster. You just need more power to do so. Example, buddy with an LS1 trans am. Went 150 or so out of the box, and felt dead. Now, he can hit 170 and still have room to accelerate. If you still have more gear, you can go faster with more power.

CooperSSoon,
What I meant is you still won't get
over 135 mph because the computer
regulates it to that speed. An ECU over ride
would be needed to overcome the 135 barrier.
I'm not saying the MCS can't go faster. On the contrary,
I think it has a little more top end, but until the
ECU is overridden it won't matter how much hp you
have when it comes to top speed.

OOO, Im sorry then CCM. I did not even think about the governor limit and posted my nonsense anyway. Sorry if I came off as an *** in any way in my post. I should have thought it through further rather than made an uneducated comment. Sorry bout that.
Hi,
I noticed your speedometer has both mph and kph. I live in Canada and mine only has kph. Are there any other Canadians with the same situation or am I unique? It wasn't easy driving in the States last fall.
Thanks
Olly
