There is a thread for a group buy for the Quicksilver over on MINI2. They claim if they get 10 solid orders, the price will be $675.

That would be pretty sweet, nearly 20% discount for a great system! Let's get some people together, maybe at 20 there'd be a further proce break!

I'd be happy to talk to George about further discounts if it goes over 20.

I'm interested. Doesn't Quicksilver also make the header (as seen on the mini-madness site and mini-motorsport)? Any chance of a group discount for this expensive item?

I would be happy to match that price as well.

If you get 20 people, I could go lower.

E-mail me to get on the group buy list.

I'm in... however y'all want it to proceed forward....

With Randy controlling it...I would be more....comfortable.
He represents a single point of contact to us all, and has always been forthcomming w/ great info & services to the group.

I believe these group purchases can certainly save us all some money and we should discuss this further and formulate a buying plan, for all future group pruchases...
Maybe a special forum?????
Our numbers are increasing rapidly here on MCO , and we should use our volume buying power to save money for all the MINI enthusiasts that frequent this great place.

Peace,
D

Storer,

It won't be as significant as the first break, obviously, but I could do $650 for 20.

That is a heck of a good deal, considering the Magnaflow gourp buy was a break from $599 to $575 and it required 25 buyers!

Let me know if you are interested.

Randy

I would be interested in doing it on the 20 buyer basis, although I'd prefer to use Randy because of all he's done for the site.If it doesn't pan out I'll probably wait to see what other systems come along as my car is currently stored.

I'm in for the 20 but only from Randy. He's not only helped us tremendously on this site (the only MINI site I visit regularly ever since I got my MINI) but he has spent plenty of his time on the dyno for us AND emailing with specific answers to my questions. I won't buy from anyone else. Although I think I'd rather wait and do a group buy on the new UCC exhaust from Randy. That seems like the ultimate MINI exhaust....

How bout it Randy? Any chance we could do a group buy on the upcoming UCC exhaust? Also when is that one supposed to be available????? And probably more importantly, when are you going to give us your evaluation of it?????

Et al,

If you want to do a group buy on the Quicksilver, I'm totally good with that - after the first ten are done through the original channel on MINI2. He actually spoke with George at MINI-Madness to set up the deal for ten. I think it only ethical to honor that original deal through George.

After that deal (which is already done BTW), I would like to have those that weren't part of the original ten to just e-mail me so I can start a list.

As far as the UUC, I haven't even tested the system yet, and I haven't gotten more than a ballpark for pricing. The group buy for that system may have to wait for at least a little while.

It just wouldn't be good business sense for me to take a group buy on something that may be hot and is brand new - like giving discounts on the S at a showroom. You have to start at MSRP (or if you aren't all that ethical, above MSRP

Hi Randy,
thanks for understanding that we couldn't switch dealers in mid-stream. i didn't know about you or your website until i started reading this site a few days ago... i really like your website layout and the abundance of info you give. i'm sure i'll be a customer soon
if you ever get time you should make a point to drop by the mini2 site and make yourself known !
also our quicksilver buy for ten still isn't over ... i think we still lack one or two buyers.
