People HAVE dynoed the AGS. They just don't post the numbers.

If you really want to see a dyno plot, do some searching, find out the guys who have dynoed it, and there is at least one that will share a dyno graph by PM or e-mail.

I've got one. It's not in yet, so I can't really make any statement on efficacy.

But there are posted flow capacity numbers, and it is a less restrictive piece than stock.

For those that claim any CAI will do as good as an AGS really aren't thinking about the whole system. That would only be the case if the SC inlet were the biggest bottleneck, and if a CAI is all that's needed, then increased diameter throttle bodies wouldn't do anything either.

it's obvious that you won't get 20% more power to go with the 20% increased flow capacity. It's also true that adders like this do the most when the motor is at the limits of flow (near red-line).

If you really want dyno numbers, buy one and measure it.

Not the community, I don't speak for them. I speak for me.

I like the concept, but see that there are still issues like JLM posted I don't know how well it works. But I bought one to find out. And when it's actually installed, I'll share what I find. But I don't think I'll be adding it just by itself, so any claims I make will be mixed with other modifications I do, so the numbers will be dubious relevance. I didn't say that to sound like a selfish, unhelpful b*stard. I too post reveiws, critiques and how tos. But I also don't think that my contributions to the knowledge base incure some sort of debt to me that others need to provide a piece of information I want.

Unlike most other parts, this one has a very contenteous history. The flame wars went on for months and months. So in this case, yes, I'll stand by it: If the numbers are that important to you, measure them yourself.

let's turn it around. Why don't others do all the work to prove value, and I'll benefit from the risk they take! Someone has to be first to post in a public forum, and if it's so important that this happen, step up and be counted!

I do believe that WMS has evaluated one of these units, and, hopefully, Randy Webb will share his findings with the MINI community. From all the posts regarding this product, several things should be obvious --- installation is a serious production, in situ performance characteristics are lacking, and truly sincere inquiries about the product on this forum have been marginalized or met with derision. That's sad .

No derision intended

But really, everything has been asked about the AGS system a million times. If the anwers aren't out there, someone needs to post them. The AGS history is long, redunant, and very, very extensive. If the information you want isn't in the public domain, you can either wait, or generate then yourself.

That's not intended as derisive, it's just fact.
