I really hope it won't be much longer before Gintani does release their line of products ---

Have a nice day!
Here's a copy of a portion of my post (#69) in this thread (underline and red color added for emphasis):

"So are they a site sponsor yet, or should this vaporware advertising be filed as spam?" JeffS
Your implication of "vaporware advertising" (whatever that is supposed to mean) is bizarre. Furthermore, my posts about this company and its products are not spam, and for you to imply that is totally unwarranted. Gintani, Inc. is a real company in California, and it has real products. The purpose of my posts was to make preliminary announcements about a new company that has developed some potentially exciting products for the Mini. My car does indeed have the intercooler-manifold installed. In addition to the pics on this forum, quite a few enthusiasts in Southern California have seen and been impressed by the set up. Unfortunately, obtaining and presenting all the hard data do take time. Gintani only wants to show real data, not speculation or hyperbolic claims such as "The best thing since sliced bread"! BTW, I previously mentioned that an MCS gained 23 whp (175 to 198) by just changing out the stock intercooler and intake manifold for the Gintani system. Those are hard numbers, not vaporware .....

Just stay tuned for more information, and this should be coming fairly soon

I'm not trying to be smart but how soon is fairly soon,
seen as though this was posted back in June,
its just there was great excitement about it in this post and it looked like a really promising product and then nothing and still nothing,
Unfortunately, I am unable to give any further details about release of the Gintani intercooler-intake manifold at this time. Whenever I talk to them, I'm told that it will be "soon". When the product is released, the Mini community will be notified.
For those of you who think this product is not real, I suggest you look at earlier parts of this thread where I showed the product on my car. In another post I mentioned that the final dyno run for my car has been held up by some really squirrely electrical problems that are totally unrelated to the Gintani system. When the problems are solved, I should be getting another dyno run, and I shall post those results. In the meantime, please look at a few posts up in this thread. There, I mentioned again that a 15% pullied car went from 175 to 198 whp with just a change from the stock intercooler and intake manifold to the new unit from Gintani.
Cheers,

[QUOTE=RECOOP]The BMWCCA-LA Chapter cancelled the autox event because of temps expected to be >100 deg. IMO, the snide nature of your post is inappropriate. Setting aside the general rants in your link, what exactly are the questions
I am sorry you interpreted my attempt at a humorous way to get the topic back on track was " snide" . The thread was dealing with the new intercooler that you are promoting and not the auto x schedule. The Link that i added was directly related to the connection between RMS and Gintani. The questions you refer to are all unanswered at this point several weeks later. Do not shoot the messenger on this as everything in that link was uncovered by others who have dealt with RMS in the past. The " rants " in the thread provided were all comments by other NAM members including norm03s, camelpilot , SpunkytheTuna, MiniRiderBill, chrisnl, kaelaria, Skiploder, 62Lincoln and beken. The way I see it is that you are promoting a new item for a company that is not a known or paying vendor on NAM. It is only natural that people would want to get to know more about the company providing the product as the product itself. I have seen your set up in person and it does look well done. Whether or not the simple enclosing of the intake with a water jacket would be better than something along the lines of a laminova core type system shall be discovered later I am sure but at first glance it looks ok. Again the real issue is just who is making this item.
When talk of your system first surfaced in various web postings ,before you actually had yours, it was being promoted by RMS a company that apparently has a F rating from the Better Business Bureau .The Name of Osh Minelian was linked in those posts and he is the director of RMS. There were claims of denial as to the association between RMS and Gintani by a representative named " Dan " but when he was asked if he indeed was Dan Heffner the listed owner of RMS he never posted again. In any event there is so much smoke here that you can barely see the flames on the horizon.
The odd coincidence here is that you are now apparently experiencing many of the problems that those people " ranting " on the other site had and after what is it now over 8 weeks or more since the unit was installed you still do not have your car running as it should. If you want to believe that it has nothing to do with the recent work done on the car go ahead if that makes it easier for you but did you have those problems BEFORE it was worked on at RMS?
My questions to you are similar to those asked in the other thread by various members .Remember you are under your oath as a fellow mini motorer to tell the truth and the whole truth and nothing but.
1/ Have you worked with RMS/OSH on this project
2/ When you drop off or pick up your car is it at 14418 Oxnard st which is a two story brick building with RMS on the front?
P.S Don't worry about dyno numbers as your car is more or less the " factory " car and not many people on this site will believe them anyway which is actually a shame but such is life around here these days .
