I dont know what a search wil turn up because I didnt try ot but there are TONS of people running the schrick cams with great results.

I am having my cam installed next week, I can post my impressions after that. All the cars I have seen with the cam seem to run very well !

Which cam? From what I understand there's two that fit the MCS.

Have the Schrick cam, Extrude Hone intake coated tubes, head work, valves, throttle body, Unichip, Alta and Webb parts, etc., and it's the COMBINATION that makes it a new car... currently at 250+ dependable HP. Specifically - the
cam is a tremendous asset by itself - but, understand, it can't be fully utilized without a BALANCED approach to your total engine, driveline, suspension, etc.

Spike,

Will your MCS still make it through DEQ? Are you going to the Tech day at Rasmussen? If so, can I get a ride in your car?

I'm with Spike on this. Although you can upgrade the cam alone you'd be better off thinking about your "total plans" on upgrades and plan everything you want along with the cam. Then check the budget.

The cam alone as a mod isn't an early mod and while offered for both MC and MCS I would be wary about adding it to the MC without a clear idea of your overall goals. Talk to Randy Webb at Webbmotorsports.com or Eric at Helix13.com, they both have lots of experience with shrick cams and other mods to help it.

Personally I'd do suspension mods or lighter wheels before I'd do the schrick cam.

I have several Customers running the Schrick Cam that are very happy with it. Though install you have to be careful to clearence the Spark Plug tubes properly so that you can freely turn the cam, but not impede the Install and removal of your spark plugs. This is done on all the Heads that we sell with Schrick Cams.
