Best combination of bolt ons for low end torque on an MCS?

Hey, I dont have a MCS but I'm looking into one if the potential is there. I want low end torque, something that would gather the kills from light to light. What is the best combination of available bolt-ons that can produce the greater gain of low end torque? Headers, exhaust, cat removal,....etc. Well anything but nothing to major like resleeving or boring out the engine. Nothing to the gear ratios either. Thanks.

The best thing you could add for stoplight grands-prix would be an STi or EVO8, maybe a Vette...

But if you're looking to mod a MINI, a 19% pulley would give the most bang for the buck. If chalking up kills from light to light is your main goal, you probably don't want a MINI. Many cars come with more HP and are quicker off the line. The MINI excels in style and handling.

Its a disapointment off the line but surprises you on the go...

7.0 litre Z06 would do the trick..
A Q for you.. why do you like to only go in a straight line? does your neighbourhood go in a straight line? being a dork
How do I get to $&*@, well just drag on ahead

Not a dragster.... but there is something about the way this car drives that makes it for most of us. The inputs from the driver to the car and the feedback from the car to the driver are what make this car.......not 0-60 launches.

That being said......the pulley is the best bang for the buck followed by cat-back, intake and software. IMHO

btw....my personal favorite is what happens after the car is doing about 20mph.

Yah, if drag-racing is you intention, you want RWD or at least AWD. If all that mattered was straight-line acceleration, we would have saved ourselves a lot of money and instead of buying a new car, just bolted some forced-induction onto the paid-for M3... But instead, the M3 is gone.

Sorry. Light to light is not always straight line for some roads in NYC. I should've elabortated more. Getting off highways and leaving people in circular exits is fun too. Well in general what combination would be good for low end torque? I was thinking headers and the pulley will be the best bang for the buck, but which manufacture ones would you get? Thanks.

Well if you are talking of a header then go with GTTuning.... just contact Roland who is a great guy.
A header that can have the cat replaced with a straight pipe.

•Engine: 19%, GIAC, 380cc injectors (19% gets you more low-end torque than the 15%, but will require larger injectors and it is a good idea to compliment it with some tuning software)
•Exhaust: Milltek cat-back (Milltek supposedly has the highest torque gains of the exhausts out there)

And if you open up the exhale, you might as well open up the inhale. There are a lot of choices here. I'd look into the Alta CAI, HAI, and soon to be released M7 AGS. Good luck.

It's a 1.6L engine... not alot you can really do to get more low end torque. I pulley helps but not alot. Any other mod is going to just help the engine breath easier where it runs out of breath and that's at top end RPM, not at low RPM. Those mods often create more volume for High RPM and as a result slow air movement down low robbing you of torque. Velocity vs. Volume issues. Low end torque is heavily tied to displacement.

If you look at my signature you will see I have all the popular mods and some not so popular. I wish I could get more low end torque The engine opens its eyes at around 3K and has a ton at 4K but below 3K it's pretty sleepy. IMO. Pulley, intake, cat-back, software. Do them all at the same time and you will think your car is on steroids. Be careful "drugs" can be addicting. The need for more is insidious and expensive.

Damn spiderx, your car is awesome. Do you have any dyno sheets? How much does the cams help with your setup and how much you pay for them?

Thanks.

I do not have dyno sheets since i put on the head/cam/header/19%/380s/Unichip remap. Sometime in the next two weeks I will dyno and post dyno and pictures. Prior to that I did 178 whp. I'm hoping for 200 whp....not sure I will get there.
