G-TECH/Pro, ... anyone?

Watching good 'ol speed this AM and the rally cars, once again an add for the G-TECH/Pro came on. Anyone have experience with this product?

Went to the website and it does look good.

I'm planning on getting the RR one quite soon. My team has gotten a huge discount from the price, so i figured i had to get one now

Anyone have the RR version in specific?

This is on my wishlist, right on the same line as an Auterra datalogger for Palm. Pluses and minuses for both devices. Can't decide which would be better, but that's okay because I can't afford either right now.

Hmmm. Wonder if they'd be interested in a NAM group buy?

I've had mine for nearly a year and am very pleased. 99.99% of time, it's only used for the trick sequential shift lights

My Gtech rpm needle jumps around when it's below 3000. Above that it's accurate. No bother...don't need to read the tach below 3k anyway

I've got the Pro and it used to flicker alot below 3k.. after the new software upgrade its waaaay better... but still not perfect.

there is a piloracing gtech adapter but I haven't tried it so I don't know if it works.
if anyone has tried this please post about your experience.

I got a Tazzo VPC...a little simpler, a little more basic, and a little cheaper.
It uses its accelerometers to track speed rather than an rpm signal.
bumpy roads can throw it off a little, especially peak hp readings.

Just ordered the G-Tech/Pro RR. They said that , yes, it does sometimes have problems with BMW engineering, but assured me that if we could not make it work that there was the 30-day money back guarantee, so not to worry.
I'll post a review if anyone wants. Wish me luck on this...
