N18 Cylinder Head options needed

I have a 2011 MCS countryman that needs a timing chain and valve seals (I think). Since the mechanics want to remove the head to do seals, I’m thinking of just replacing the head with an upgraded head. Ported, polished ,larger valves?

What are my options?
Daily driver with 65k miles.
I like my boost and love quick low end.
I don’t want to go crazy with other mods, but maybe a ecu flash and / or exhaust.

Just curious, why do think the valve seals need replacing at only 65k miles, are you burning oil upon startup?

yes.
It smokes at startup and after idling at a long traffic light and its more pronounced right after adding oil.
not a single drop leaks but my burn rate went from 1 quart per 5,000 miles at 50k then 1 quart per 1,000 miles at 60k and now it’s 1 quart per 500 miles.at 65k.

i experienced identical behavior with my Dodge caravan years ago at 120k, Found dried, broken, cracked seals and it fixed the problem.

I was thinking of doing similar. With my 2011 having 108k miles I dont always blue smoke on start up or long lights but it happens.

it's probably the valve cover CCV system, they are very sensitive and a terrible design

Wait for my update before doing anything.
I started by checking my chain slack yesterday and found something very interesting about my oil burn. I’m guessing you may have the same issue. I’m running my theory by my mechanic friends today for verification.

Yes check this first before pulling the head. Another possibility is the turbo bearings.

Exactly!

Too much oil in pcv hose. Told I can only buy a valve cover to fix this problem, but I’ve may have found a source to be able to replace the pcv diaphragm. On the R60 the cover has an access panel to the pcv diaphragm.
