A friend had a local shop fabricate something similar using a Magnaflow muffler. I call him the "shredder" as he loves to punch it in a tunnel or under a bridge.

I'd go Milltek for another $300 more. Seems like it should be sub $200.

Pics and a sound clip from the ebay listing: http://vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=281562851149&t=1 514875597000&tid=10&category=33630&seller=exhaustt uningparts&excSoj=1&excTrk=1&lsite=100&ittenable=f alse&domain=ebay.com&descgauge=1&cspheader=1&oneCl k=1&secureDesc=0

Seems like the tips wouldn't align up that great?

I would go milltek also. You will like the sound. You have resonated and non resonated and we have free shipping. Most people do that or the factory JCW exhaust.

Do most people go resonated or non with the Milltek? Any reason to choose one over the other? I hate more decisions!

Most people get the resonated on the R53 and R52. I personally like the sound of the non-resonated. But I guess people like the loud but not too loud approach. Also here is the link for the R52 MINI Convertible version. https://www.ecstuning.com/News/MINI_...Systems_23706/

I'm really tempted to put a cutoff valve on the stock exhaust. seems like the best of both worlds, though I guess there's no weight savings.
