Urgent need help with pulley install

Greetings - I'm having problems torquing the pulley to spec with out it sliding or turning. Please help

Get it as tight as you can, then install the belt. The belt will hold it still while you finish tightening the bolts. Don't forget the Loctite!

Dear bodinski

I've reinstalled the tensioner and trying to torque the screws - not much getting accurate torque on the screw the spring from the tension is taking it up - now can't tell how torque the screw are

Pulley screws

dhayashi, hope your using Loctite Blue and remember the screws are only 6mm so don't over do it.
The important thing is to tighten them evenly in a criss cross pattern. I wraped my old belt around the pulley and held it pinched while I tightened them by feel, no problems.

Hi norm03s,

Thank you for posting - we ended up tightening them best we could using
Red Loctite - the guy from Kragen suggested red for pulleys over blue
and my friend was afraid of overtightening in case the threads snapped
so we think we got it on tight enough. looks like everything is ok so far - I'm keeping it under 3000 rpms for now for the first 500 miles to break it in - per my friend's suggestion. Did you wait a while before letting it rip?

Randy installed my pulley, and let it rip in the parking lot!! No issues at all.

which cooper s were you in randy's garage this past weekend - I was there on Sunday around 12ish getting my thermostat and plugs.
