CAI tube

Hey: I have a 2013 mini with a n18. I already installed the Alta CAI but didn't purchase the intake tube. I saw Forge made an intake tube but it isn't compatible with my motor? My question is why? Is it because the mass air flow sensor? I'm just curious.

Here is the part of anybody can give me any input that would be rad!

You can contact WMW and ask them. They should be able to tell you why.

I actually emailed the people at forge. Apparently the part FMINLR60 works for the n18. This part was made the countryman but works on later model r56's I'm going to grab it and post if it works out

No it doesn't work with the N18 engine as you can't put all the sensors in it

Haha, bump.

I'm just trying to find an alternate to the Alta one. It seems like the breather hose has a sensor in the front of it on the N18 and everything I try to find is not compatible. I'm just curious why they would skip a whole generation of engines.

We offer the R60 N18 Forge hoses, but caution you can still get a check engine light from removing the sensors from the stock hose.
