I want to tune my R56S but i want to get a kit from a known tuning company. The reason is reliability, don't want to mess with engineers that im not aware of their work and how that develops over time! So are there any known tuning kits that i can purchase and install for my 2008 R56S?

 

We offer the JCW tuning kit and can quote you one if you email your vin to us, but you still have to have either the dealer or someone with MINI software load the tune.

If the JCW kit is the most known kit offered by BMW, why haven't you bought it yet? You asked what else is out there after Way gave you an answer to your question and you basically said thanks but no thanks, " what else is out there?" That makes it difficult to recommend anything to you knowing what your response will be, it sounds like you have already made up your mind on the JCW kit offered by BMW.

You are being hard on me. I havent made up my mind no but i think that the JCW is kinda limited as far as power is concerned and also it is quite expensive for what it offers! If you have a different view on this i would like to hear your view.

Way- How long does the tune take when the ECU is shipped to your shop?

 

I knew you didn't want to fork out the big dollars for the JCW Tuning Kit or else you would have done so already. I'm not going to pay $2800 for a small hp gain, I don't blame you for not buying the JCW kit. Manic Tuning is the most reputable Mini Tuner in the UK and the USA, they were the first to be able to tune an N18 engine. They must really know what their doing, I bet if you created a poll Manic Tuning would come out on top. We have Mariokart here on NAM with unequaled customer service and a review thread created in his honor by very pleased customers!

What more could you ask for? I'm sure you have access to much higher quality gas than us Americans, our gas is horrible! In the UK people are making 30-50 more hp on the same tunes offered here. Nick even re-tuned our Mini's do to our horrible gas.

 

Our goal is always to do a 24hr turn around from the time we get it.
