Drivetrain Some pics of Milltek exhaust install at Helix

That is my car. The guys at Helix did a great job on the install and I am quite happy with the exhaust. It has a nice refined tone and is fairly quiet when you are just cruising around, but gets satisfyingly loud when you go to WOT. There is no drone on the highway and, if you are light on the throttle, the sound level is close to stock. I'm not sure why they offer a resonated version, I can't hear the need for it. In Sport mode, the pops on the lift off overrun are quite loud, so much so that I usually kick out of Sport mode when driving through my neighborhood.
If you are looking for loud all the time, the other valved options such as the JCW or Remus exhaust might be better for you, but if you are looking for something that gives your F56 some growl when you press the accelerator, but won't annoy the neighbors/girl-friend/wife, this is a good choice.
I uploaded a short clip to YouTube of me just starting the car, letting it idle for a bit, then revving the car. I let the car idle until the car is warmed up and the engine goes into its quiet idle state. At that point is just a little louder that stock, which is a plus in my book. I'm looking for noise when I push the throttle, not when I am idling in the driveway.
Once I get the correct tow hook mount for my GoPro, I will post some driving around video which will show off the exhaust a bit better. Just revving the engine without any load on it doesn't produce the best sound.

Yes, it is in Sport Mode. The only difference in the exhaust sound you will get is the pops/burbles on lift-off overrun in Sport Mode, which are not present in the other modes. I'm kind of surprised NM has not entered the fray with an exhaust for the F56, the car has been out for over a year.

Wait Wut? It says that on our site? Could somebody linky me, because it's not necessary. It's fully within the car's adaptive capabilities.

Honestly, I don't. It might be marketing talk (This product flows so much better than stock, that you'll need to re-tune it), but that's kind of a cynical guess, and Milltek has integrity.
Bottom line, no modern exhaust flows so much better than factory that it needs a tune. Two reasons: 1) with smaller engines and the need for better fuel economy, factories are making sure that intakes and exhausts are not restrictive (the days of intakes making power are over), and 2) a car's engine management system has adjustment built into the software, so variations in fuel, atmospheric conditions or vehicle condition can be accommodated. Any small change like an exhaust is well within those adjustments.
So why would we get an exhaust? Because it sounds awesome, and Milltek is better than most at sound engineering.
