Schrick cams for 2007 MCS

I haven't seen any talk on cams here recently. I think it's important as it's a worthy consideration when rebuilding the engine since it requires precise measurements to make the changes.

Who has some real user experience to share on this installation. Schricks come with two lift choices. We all understand the benefits in performance.

I did find some discussion from racing shops on the measurement of the valve clearances taking into consideratipn the Vanos. But nothing from Mini shops.

Seams like I have seen a few guys run the K04 turbo on here with out a tune . Why do you think the car would not handle the bigger turbo without a tune ?? Just asking !

I'm doing the port work and from there I might play with some drop in cams , not going to fight a bunch of BS just to try and get 8-10 hp. Hell just don't eat a whopper with cheese and large fries and you will be good to go. Lol

Thinking unless one needs max HP, stock cams can make good power; 300hp as forced air induction need not rely on cams. Anyone remember doing their first "beer bong" at college???
