My unicorn is a baffled tank that fits in the battery box on the R56. I think that would be the best place to put it to meet the "must be separated from the passanger compartment by a bulkhead" rule.

@bigboost I've had it happen on track and on some freeway onramps.

The aquamist tank will fit in the boot of a roadster
if your buying the rest of the kit you may s well add the tank option?

i have the twin tank, only a dry installation at the moment

My Howerton tank came "baffled" --- full of ping-pong size *****, each one full of holes --- like "swiffle" *****. He told me his illuminated version (another option) wasn't compatible with the baffle version --- one or the other, or neither. No reason a bunch of swiffle ***** can't be added --- AFTER a good cleaning. Tank still holds almost a full gallon.

I don't know how many of these ***** it takes to fill the tank, but here's a couple pics of what they look like ---

Each ball is just slightly smaller than the cap opening.

Looks like a 6-hole pattern repeated a few times around the ball surface.

Finally got a chance to look into my flow issue. Not sure about the condition of the FAV tee itself, but all this crap was built up against the screen to the flow sensor assembly. Replaced the assembly and fav tee as I had new ones anyway, going to soak the old parts in methanol overnight and test them later. System is back to working without issue. Now, what exactly is this stuff? Looks like ice, is not ice. Calling it meth poop for the time being. How can I avoid future issues, or must I just run pure methanol? Nothing has been run through the system but VP M1 and distilled water @ 80/20 mix. Or is this the water/hydrocarbon contamination issue some of you mentioned? Thanks again for everyone's help.

Just my research on the' net'. The reason was to prevent a mixture 'starvation' during acceleration...IIRC.

You are not handling methanol without wearing chemical protective gloves and eye protection, right?

I just put the outlet on the tank towards the rear, so when I'm accelerating it all goes towards the outlet. Works fine for me. *shrug*

With the ignition on (engine not running) and the SYS jumper on the controller activates the pump and also the FAV at full duty cycle. There is an alternate purge procedure that calls for doing exactly what you did. However, I would still verify FAV operation. With the nozzle out of the inlet plumbing put the SYS jumper back and turn ignition on. You should get spray.

Another way to verify is install blanking plug in inlet tube, tape the nozzle to the windshield, turn the THRESH pot all the way counter clockwise to about the 7:00 position and start the engine. Blip the throttle a few times and you should see it spray. If not I would suspect the FAV of being bad.
